Hello people,


I hope everyone is busy preparing their application and documents for the upcoming fsw 2014. I wish good luck to all of them.

I just have one doubt regarding the points calculation for the education.

I hold a masters degree in Structural Engineering from Uk and bachelors in civil engineering from India, which falls under the NOC 2131. I was wondering whether my degree will earn me 22 or 23 points for education?

I would really appreciate any help here. Got confused! :'( :'( :'(

Thanks but it will take more time now as i am on a job in another city and ill be going home next week and that for only a week.

anyways my status of docs just got updated on ICAS website and it says now
"Documents reviewed and awaiting official documents"

That means they are now waiting for the docs that were sent by local post. I just hope and pray, they get it soon!

The website says 6-8 weeks, but what is the exact time they take after receipt of the documents? Has anyone gone through this process?

The new list has my NOC and I want to try to apply in FSW. Do you think it's ok to try or the will reject it because I have 2 applications? Thanks in advance for your advise.

Hi All,

Quickly wanted an expert advice on my case.

I had started working post my graduation for about 4 years, I later started my MBA this was a 2 yrs. full time course which I was managing with a full time job (US Shift). Post my MBA Qualification, I have gained 4 years of further experience.

Therefore, my Total Work Experience is 10 yrs post graduation and otherwise, 4 yrs. post my MBA (post-graduation). I am being advised to keep my qualification points confined to gradution since that ways I can claim maximum experience points. Can someone guide me with this and help me make a smart decision for this case, the one year of experience based on NOC - I am claiming it for the most current work experience.

I have a few queries and need advise my last yer fsw package didnt delivered to me in riyadh now i dont have original ielts and WES report. For ielts i contacted british council they agreed to delivered the original to canada directly but as per my knowledge cic not accept ielts like thiswhat shud i do now i have a UCI number too and new ielts exam date available on 10 may and result will be ready around 30 may i think tht will be too late for application. Plz guide me.

Hi seniors.. I have below queries.

1. My designation in my organization does not match with any of available occupation but i have worked as analyst programmer with similar roles and responsibilities.. but on offer letter my designation was Systems Engineer..wht shud I do..


2. Under 2174.. the role is mentioned as analyst programmer.. in one of my document it is mentioned that my role is programmer analyst... hope the switching of words wont be an issue.. plz confirm...

3. I was working as Analyst Programmer 5 years ago but now I am IT Project Manager but I would like to apply under 2174 as Programmer Analyst.. What should I put in Educational/Occupational Detail Section in Generic Form under Current Occupation and Intended Occupation.

Please answer at the earliest.

Brother ur self Job title is not matter...Its the matter about the job duties that matches with which NOC....

So u can even apply with ur cuurrent title...No worry... 8) 8)
