WORK EXPERIENCE RELATED QUERIES

If the letter does not contain ALL details that are required (previous company have said they will mention only designation and job duties description),
OR
If it is not available (my current company has refused),

then what is best option for me?

As per the checklist in IMM5612E the experience letter MUST CONTAIN ALL The information as below?

  • specific period of your employment with the company
positions you have held during the period of employment and the time you spent in each position
your main responsibilities and duties in each position
your total salary plus benefits in each position
number of hours worked in each position

I keep reading about affidavit in the thread but some say it is not useful/valid. Is affidavit acceptable and recommended?

Also, is it okay for the letter to be addressed to "WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN"?

Please advise.

No alternate will work here.

You have to submit on company letterhead below details:

Designation, Job duration, area of work, detailed point by point job duties, some employer also mention 40 hours per week(optional)

You need get it by taking approval from your manager in current or previous company.

In case, HR deny issuing such letter-- then also you have to submit it by speaking to your manager. But it is mandatory.

Hello Seniors and fellow members,

I have a question regarding 'choosing the visa office' in the General Application Form.

I have been living in the US for the last 6 years and I understand i can choose either US (LA or NYC) or India (New Delhi) Visa office. But due to some uncertainties over my GreenCard and H1B extensions goof ups/delays I am contemplating of choosing New Delhi. If in a best case scenario, my application were be to processed 'successfully' should

1 I have to go to India to submit the passport and wait in limbo for 4-8 weeks until I get the passport ? or
2.I could submit the passport in any of the visa offices in the US to get it stamped ? or
3.Just choose US visa office in the General application and transfer the case to India if I had to leave US in future due to visa issues ?

Has anyone faced/facing a similar situation or know a better way to handle this situation ?

I appreciate yours input and apologize if this post were to be against the intended topic

-thanks

You can choose new delhi visa office. Passport will be requested in the final stage and at that time you can request for passport submission at your that time location.

I've FSW'13 returned bunch. Now prepared new generic form. Hope All other appl same changing date by whitener or print out of last page.
Other minor updates. Waiting for official release.

Normally you can request the IELTS ogranization (British Council / IDP) to directly send the IELTS test sheet to CIC (they will charge some 1500+ rupees for this). But, as you said you have already sent the original to CIC, so please mention this in your cover letter and send a notorized copy. You can additionally mention that another original copy is on the way and CIC will receive it directly from (BC/IDP)

I have a question on above statement. will CIC accept test result directly from test agencies? As far I know they required all documents in a single packet.

Experts please put some light on this.

I will try my best, but as some people have said that company may refuse to mention hours worked, or salary, etc.

As a matter of fact, my current organisation is refusing to issue any such letter at all. I will have to speak to my manager, even though it is not the most feasible thing to do where one is currently working.

Hi,

I hope someone here will give me feedback to my some of the queries posted below.

I don't have original IELTS result as it was submitted to QSW scheme a year back. Can I submit notarized copy of it along with the receipt of AOR sent to me by MICC?

I have a balance of 5000 CAD at my account since six months but I need 18000 CAD to apply for FSW. Can I submit balance certificate of 18000 CAD by adding rest 13000 CAD immediately?

What point is granted for 15 years of total education under education factor? any idea as I have not begun ECA.

Hi,
- Only original IELTS is accepted unless retained by CIC.
- I guess you can add the balance, but be ready to defend it.
- Check the CIC site it clearly shows points for level of education; post secondary, Bachelors, Masters, Phd etc...

All those who are thinking to submit application before 1st may. Beware.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aovj20uHVWyzdGFqSGJUOEtVX0h5eWM0cXB5dlAtOEE&usp=drive_web#gid=46

Check the rejected applications in above sheet. Lot of applications were rejected because of old schedule 3 form. So avoid a blunder, hold your horses till 1st may.
schedule 3 form and generic application forms were updated may 2013 ie. probably on 3r or 4th may itself, so don't rush.

Get it in the writing that no such letter can be issued. make an affidavit , also submit business card of your manager.

If i bought a house (with a lone) and payed 10% advanced.
should i list it as an asset and liabilities or can i ignore it.

Guys, another thing I want to clarify.

I am the principal applicant and I am bringing along my spuse and son. My agency is requiring us to submit proofs of my spouse's work experience and education credentials, along with mine. I checked the FSWP document checklist and there is nowhere there that says that the spouse's proofs of work experience and education credentials are required.

Please. I really need your opinion, guys. Thanks in advance.

property is not considered as asset (Its not because CIC does not consider it, its because NDVO does not consider property as Proof of fund as they know for indians property is not a big deal)
