This is the topic some people have asked before but there was no specific answer. If someone from Singapore, Permanent Resident can answer this question, highly appreciate it.

Can we use CPF balance as the proof of settlement fund? As a PR in Singapore, once I leave the country for Canada, I will have to renounce my PR and the CPF money will be released to me in full amount within 3-4 weeks of processing time. I will have this money in my hand when I reach Canada.

With this ground, can it be considered as the proof of readily available fund?

I have 3 quick questions, i you could please help:

1) My wife does not have a birth certificate from Municipality. From my research on the forums here an alternative is to attach the 10th class certificate along with an affidavit that BC is not available. Is my understanding correct and is that what people without BC have been following, seniors please comment?

2) My birth certificate is in Hindi, I guess I need a translation done in English and send it. In Delhi/Noida area where could I get it done from and mean what agencies or if notary translation is accepted by CIC?

3) What is the preferred mode of fee payment that people have been using from India, a DD or CC? I would certainly want to use the CC but what are the recommendations/precautions I should use to go with that method. My CC has a validity of 2 years and has enough credit limit available. Anything else I should be cautious about?

It doesn't have to be 100% match.

Do I have to use separate envelopes for B.Sc. and M.Sc? or everything in one university sealed envelope will work?

1. Yes u can do that...but affidavit is not required when u submit the cover letter+ Secondary school records..

2. Yes translation is required, and notary translation is accepted by CIC...

3. U can use DD or CC if wish...

But DD has better reliability in terms of CIC transaction....But if ur CC has transaction authority u may proceed with that one also...

Better to request your bank to mention the currency equivalency in the bank reference letter in CAD or USD based on the exchange rate on that particular day.....

I have sent my Application on 23rd May. I had written 2173 as my NOC when I first entered data in the sheet, but eventually I have applied for NOC 2171 ('coz of many reasons). Kindly update the sheet accordingly.

As per DHL, the application pkg would reach CIC by 28th May.

Seniors, could you please make an educated guess on the odds of me getting into the CAP.

I filed my application on 11 May, and, my mother just passed away on 23 May. Does anyone know what should I do with my application? Should I ask them to return it and refile it with the deceased date on it? Could I just leave it as it is and add the information at a later time? Thanks.

If ur local visa office ask for updated additional information, then u may change the status...

If your Bsc, Msc from the same university single envelop from your university is fine....

If the 10th certificate have his parents name, DoB same as in the passport it may work.... Also prepare an affidavit for the same....

I have also applied to British Council for second copy of IELTS on 15/05/2014 but they have not approved my application yet for further processing. I am confused ... Aren't you from Nepal?

sir if u are applying for the second time in BC u will get it and it takes 2 weeks for your application to process
