Nishesh,

Thank you very much for your quick response to the query.

As I am working in one of the large organization in the field of mechanical engineering, I have specific responsibilities. We all know that it will be really tough for me to get a letter from the organization mentioning the duties which I really don't perform.

Anyway, I am pasting the duties of a mechanical engineer as per the NOC requirement and highlighting the responsibilities with red color which are included in my letter.

Request all seniors to give their opinion on it.

Main duties

Mechanical engineers perform some or all of the following duties:
Conduct research into the feasibility of project delivery, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
Design power plants, machines, components, tools, fixtures and equipment
Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures
Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems at construction sites or in industrial facilities
Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance to industrial maintenance crews
Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates.
Your duties looks like more generalized.
Make it job specific related to your product/daily job responsibilities.
List out 15-20 job tasks.

Hi,

Finally comes the good news. My CC was charged last night. 1100 CAD. Also, I got the PER mail within an hour of CC charge. The mail states:

"Application for Permanent Residence in Canada

18 November 2014

UCI: xxx
Application: xxx

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. Only applicants who meet the criteria specified in these Ministerial Instructions are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing.

This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your Fee Payment Form IMM 5620 authorizing CIC to take payment of processing fees using the credit card details provided. Please be informed that we processed a payment of $1,100.00 Canadian dollars on this credit card (ending in xxx). Your receipt number is xxx. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records and quote this number on all correspondence relating to application fees or refunds.

Please do not forward additional documents unless requested.

If additional documents are required, you will be provided an address to forward required documents. Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

It is important for you to learn about the steps you need to take to get your credentials and qualifications recognized in Canada. Citizenship and Immigration Canada recommends that you review the resources on the Foreign Credentials Referral Office's website (www.credentials.gc.ca) and the Department's website (www.cic.gc.ca) for helpful information about living and finding work in Canada. If your application will be processed through China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan or the UK, you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance. In order to participate in this service you will require an invitation letter from the CIC mission which will be sent to you during the later stages of the immigration process if you are determined to be eligible for it. You can access information about this free in-person assistance at www.newcomersuccess.ca . Actual participation in this in-person service is not a guarantee nor an indicator that your immigration application will ultimately be successful or that you will receive an immigrant visa.

Thank you for your interest in Canada."

Now waiting for the file to get transferred to NDVO. Finally, my hardwork and more importantly, my patience has paid off.

Would like to thank each and everyone in this forum for their continued support and wishes.

Thanks a lot people,
Rohan.
Congratulations Rohan

+1 for the Patience

Yes. I am one of the unlucky applicants whose app was returned by CIC because of an oversight by them.

They, however, accepted their mistake and asked me to resend my application which I did. Yesterday, everything got sorted and my CC got charged followed by the PER mail.
Congrats Rohan.
How did you convince CIC for your application again?

I sent them a mail on the CIO generic email address. I explained my case in that email. The visa officer who replied, was understanding and asked me to resend my application.

Buddy,

1. Yes u can.....:)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/

Send the receipt with other docs to NDVO...

2. What I know NDOV address is as per below:

7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri
New Delhi 110 021, India

Please cross check this....:)
Thanks Ashif bhai..

1. Confusion for acceptance of online payment was bcoz of the fee schedule link (http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng) wherein its mentioned that "Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted"

2. The address mentioned in the MR+RPRF Mail is -

Immigration Section/ Section de l’immigration
High Commission of Canada/ Haut-Commissariat du Canada
PO Box 5209
7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri
New Delhi, India/Inde 110021

Since PO Box is mentioned, hence am a bit skeptical as to how I will send the documents from overseas. Courier company do not deliver at PO Boxes. Should I just remove the PO Box and courier the documents?

Thanks once again

Good if you can elaborate more into sentences, and not like some keywords/pointers. Roles/responsibilities should be clearly describing requirements as per NOC intended.

hello experts
i need your guidance in this query
i have WP of Canada for which i have done my medicals and my medicals finished in august 2014
now as i applied for FSW and got medical request for me n my spouse in October
and i sent all docs to NDVO on November 3rd but still my 3rd line has not been updated yet
here is my question
do i need to let CIC know that my medical are already done in August?
Yes. provide you IME numbers to NDVO(I guess this is your PR visa processing office) in advance. So that they will add it to your file.
As I have submitted receipt of my medical done to NDVO when i sent my courier of RPRF, PCC and My spouse's Medical
As both of my medical IME number are different
IME number are different for individuals. So send both IME receipt copies to your PR Visa processing office.
need your expert assistance

Guys,
I have been a silent follower of this forum. Just wanted to share , my cc was charged yesterday i.e. 18 Nov, application rcvd 18 August , ss updated. But strange thing is that I applied under Self Employed category 1123 with 2 adults and 1 kid. I should have been charged CAD 1750 but I was charged CAD 1250 only. Experts please advise.
divyabatra Welcome to the forum

Congratulations for the cc charge. You should not worry as CIO has charged correct amount i.e. You 550+ Spouse 550+ Kid150 = 1250.

You can pass those 500 to me If you really want to get rid of those extra bucks :p (just kidding)

Good luck for rest of the process and + 1 for updating SS

Hi,

I've applied under two categories, 2173 and 2174. I've not received any notification for CIC and as I see on their website the cap has been reached for both the NOC.
Can anyone help me with how can I track status of my applications or any way I can initiate communication with CIC to get status of my applications.

Please advice.

Hey Freinds

One of my freind asked NDVO due date extension yesterday for PCC submission. In his request he clearly stated 3 months of ETA set by FBI and 2 weeks of transit time. So he asked for 2 months of extension and NDVO accepted his request. In fact , NDVO gave him 3 months of extension as a new deadline (more than what he asked)

I get a feeling, All VO's are aware of the prevailing situation at FBI and are more than happy to grant extension when requested. So dont worry. I dont think anybody's application will be turned down only because of PCC delay. so Chill all !!

:D thanks and +1 for sharing

Dear holic brother,

1. NDVO accepts online payments....there is no confusion....Lot of applicants already did....So no need to worry for that..

2. Even though u mention the P.O. Box...courier companies will send the package to ur desired address....So dont worry for this too...:)....Please comment other NDVO applicants whom have sent docs to NDVO.....

No need to worry as at present the applicants of the last week of July are getting PER. You can check with your bank regarding DD clearance but there's a fair chance that they won't have updated info.

Santosh : I too had submitted DD from AXis and application received on 8th August 9NOC 2263). I have checked with bank on monday till that time it was un claimed. I will again check on Saturday. I will surely update you if I am getting any update. I request you to do same if you heard about ur DD.
