Do we get email when VO update 2nd line in status?? :

Not for NDVO, you need yo keep on checking, BTW you can get MR even before your 2nd line is updated, sometimes NDVO updates before sending MR sometimes days after they send MR

Id like to post my query afresh.

I had sent an application and recently got it back because i hadnot put in the wes report.

Now then CIC has with pencil mentioned a UCI number on my generic appl form in the UCI BOX (Does that happen? and is that the way they give UCI number? How can i verify the authenticity of UCI number?

I also got my passport reissued a couple of months ago and its not the same passport that i had sent initialy. So do i put my new passport now and write an additional letter stating the fact?- YES

Are you taking a DD in INR? Which bank is this asking you for a receipt? You can take a DD on any ones name, they dont have a right to ask you anything about it....... Is it your regular bank that you visit?

I am thinking of making DD in CAD. I am in Nepal and yes, it is a regular bank.

Payment of Fees

Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

Right of Permanent Resident Fee (Principal Applicant, Spouse/ Partner) CAD490 or INR26,700 per adult.
