Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows how long the visa will be valid. In other words, how long do you have time from the date you receive your visa till you land in Canada?

Informing everyone with very SAD mood that :

My Application got rejected for a reason Expired DD ...

I have got DD issued from ICICI bank on 22/05/2014 , and it has a stamp of "Three Months Validity"

Everyone said DD's default expiry is SIX months... NO Friends CIC is very strict
and CIC had not asked me to submit fresh DD, simply rejected & Returned my application

My Application was sent back on 22/09/2014 , and I Received it today on 13/11/2014

Timeline :
Application Sent date: 23/05/2014
Application Received date : 28/05/2014
DD issued on 22/05/2014 and Expired on 21/08/2014
Application sent back on 22/09/2014
Received it on 13/11/2014
Reason : DD is Expired, as there was a stamp "Valid for three Months"
NOC 3142

Very sorry to hear it.

DD validity is 6 month unless the months/days are written clearly. If it is stamped 3 days, it is valid for 3 days. Don't know whether you raised that your DD had been stamped 3 month validity.

Your NOC is not hot. So please apply again. This time use such a bank that give stamp for 6 months or put no stamp.

Make the CIC agent realise what u want is the UCI no and not an application status update.Most importantly be nice and prayerful

Application Received Date:July 15th.

Just to share my experience. I applied through a consultant.I saw earlier on the forum how we can call CIC to get UCI no.This I did 2day and was given after which I called my consultant if they had gotten any PER mail.She said not yet but that I will be notified once this is done. When she said this I was forced to tell her I have my UCI no.She was shocked and she told me to give her some seconds to talk to her supervisor. She later apologised and said they had checked and discovered they have my PER mail which they forwarded iimmediately.

This is my first post by the way but I m really addicted to this forum. God bless u all for this good work
I would like to tell about my application
1) I am a CA just 1 paper left. I Also have done my BCOM which was 2 yrs so WES accessed me as 2 YR diploma for bcom and 2 n half years undergraduate study for CA (Which was useless)
I am also a member of PIPFA pakistan on exemption basis but WES didn't consider it
2)In 2012 I was nominated by ALBERTA province in family stream but I was not able to gave my newly born son passport on time due to which my nomination got expired.
3) In imm0008 generic form I did small mistakes like I didn't write my name in declaration box but signed and dated it.I also forgot to write my duration of stay in my current country.
4) I attached photo copy of notarized English translation along with notarized original marriage certificate photocopy.
5) My experience letter was very brief and not in bullet points for which I was lol worry
Hope this will help to release anxiety of someone

1 year from the medical date.

I thought the following information might help other members, I just called the fbi, and they are opening mails from october 3rd currently, since mine was received on october 2nd I was able to get my record number for future references/questions. they are still giving 12 weeks for completion.

when there is no stamp on DD its by default valid for six months same as cheque that can be en-cashed in 6 months.

when your DD was stamped 3 months there is no point of thinking that's it valid for 6 months.

CIC had nothing to do with this one must be careful before sending docs.
