Hi everyone,

I want to know that what is meant by " Certified true copies " ? I mean , do we need to certify the copies of our Passport copies, birth certificates , National Identity card as well ? Since we have to send all the photocopies of these documents as well along with some originals like IELTS result, ECA report e.t.c. What are the documents that need to be certified as a true copies ????

Below is the information provided on CIC website. Please help ...


Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.

If your docs are in French/English plain copies will do. If not - geo to the notary and have all copies certified and translated according to CIC regulations.

You are on the edge.

The NOC was capped counting applications that were sent up to the end of august - so you may be in. Nobody knows for sure, so don't lose hope.

Can you apply for another NOC? If so, get your documentation ready.

Pls share if somebody had send addendum documents and thkse were includdd with earlier application.

Many have been successful and ss some could not. If you want to send addendum, send it after 20 November only (considering your app date)

So if I understand you correctly, you think there is no need to re-send this form as it will be accepted by CIC the way it was initially sent?

Guys, one more stupid question, if you don't mind.
November 3, have reapplied after rejection due to mentioning more than one primary occupation under 12a in Schedule 3.
And now again, after re-submitting, I have realised that I did not write N/A in the "date of death" field for my mother in Schedule A Background Declaration after printing.
My father is deceased, so I have written the date of his death. However, i have mentioned "To Present" with black pen in the fields for current address and occupation after printing the form and my husband has done so as well in his form + he has mentioned N/A in the "date of death" for both of his parents.

Do you think my not mentioning N/A in the "date of death" for my mother in Schedule A may lead to the rejection of my application just because in all the other cases we have mentioned N/A or "To Present" after printing the forms?
Do you think I should additionally send this form to CIC?
Or is it a minor thing that will not lead to a rejection?

Applied on July 21st-
Yesterday my card was charged by CIC.
What are the next steps? How long does fingerprinting take and when do I start the procedure? I am a newbie to this forum, and this is my first post.
Also, everyone seems to talk in abbreviations. What do MR, PFPR, PCC, NVDO etc stand for?

RPRF- Right of Permanent Residence Fee
PCC- Police clearance report
NDVO - New delhi Visa Office

Express Entry seems to override the present process of FSWP applications (They way they are accepting applications for FSWP).

These are the last FSWP, FSTP and CEC applications that will be accepted under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.

From the above,As per my understanding, FSWP program will remain exist, but the way they accept and process the future applications will be different.

However many people still believe that, FSWP process will remain same until April '15. But that is not true or many not be true to maximum extent.

By rising this issue, I hope, I will make aware of forum members and prepare their applications in advance to apply before December.

I am filling the fee payment form. My Credit card needs an OTP to authenticate online transactions (it is a chip based Citibank Credit Card)

Will CIC be asked for an OTP/pin ?
