Good to see things are going well on this forum. Wanted to alert you on a bogus call I received.

I received a call from 8882422100 number today. The person said he was from CIC department and wanted to verify my information. He already had my name, email ID, phone number and asked if I was already in Canada or planning to move there soon. He did not know that my PR has already been processed and inquired if I received any recent communication from CIC. I was suspicious and asked him to confirm my UCI number to assure me if he was really from CIC at which he disconnected the call.

I googled this number and found it to be a bogus call. These people claim to be from CIC and ask to deposit some fees in the name of CIC. Beware of such calls or emails.

My App was received on 10th Sept and I currently continue to wait and watch. I have been looking up the CIC website but see no new updates since 10th October. Anyone's got any updates on whats the total number of apps received and what dates/timelines are currently being CC Charged?

PARIS VO is handling all Turkey Applications (FSW 2014)..... nothing is being sent to Ankara !
Its good in a way b'coz Paris VO is super fast :-*

So I have received AOR but it is from Paris Office, my application should had been sent to Ankara! What's the deal?

Century bhai, Is there any 2013 BD applicant who got the visa?

After MR how long it is taking generally to get the PPR?

None of 2013 received visa.

As none received PPR after MR, we cannot estimate it. But generally, VO don't take more than 2 months after MR. The validity of visa depends on MR date. It is 1 year from MR date. So they can't keep it in pending status for long time.

+1 for sharing the info, you know what? this is making me think as if there's either a mole in CIC or around us in real life who is giving info to the fraudsters since after all who would know we have applied for immigration?....... guys shed some light on this so we all are safe!?

I sent my application 10 days ago and it was received in CIO. I have a 4-month-old daughter. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the change whether to choose type 1 or A dependent for your child in the Generic form. As regarding the new updates mentioned at the guide for those who apply for immigration after 1st August, they should choose type 1 not A as I chose . I want to ask will this cause any problems to the process of my application. I know that it should a minor problem really but I don't know how the things are going there.
