Need ur guidance.
Tomorrow going for DD of RPRF.
Visa office is NDVO.

My consultant says better to have DD in Can $, rather than in Indian Rupees.

Whats ur opinion.


DD in favour of whom a& payable at ?
And a common DD of 980$ (for me and my spouse) will be Ok ?

Pls help.

Payment of Fees

Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

Right of Permanent Resident Fee (Principal Applicant, Spouse/ Partner) 490 CAD or 26,700 Rs

I HAVE CALLED ON 0016139444000 AND HAVE ENQUIERED ABOUT MY APPLICATION DATED 4 TH JULY 2014 .

AS PER THE CALL CENTRE THEY HAVE RECIVED MY FILE AND THE TOLD ME APPLICATION NUMBER AND UCI WHICH STARTS WITH "E".

I HAVE THEN SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR ENCAHSMENT OF MY DEMAND DRAFT , FOR WHICH SHE SAID ITS STILL ON HOLD ....

KINDLY LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN INTERPRET FROM THIS

I think they might have generated ur application number and UCI and are waiting for DD encashment (As it involved multiple banks)..So you are good to go..
Try contacting ur bank as well.. What is ur NOC?

Did you receive your PER?, I hope your Bulk mail/junk folder hasn't eaten up email correspondence from CIC or LVO. I suggest you calling their helpline and checking up with them!

Dear Experts,

I am a 2nd July Applicant under NOC: 1123

Please share your valuable comment on below shown settlement fund in the application

A) - Total Assets - INR 16,78,896 -- $ 29,980

1) INR 5,00,000 (as a Fixed Deposit)
2) INR 7,61,341 (Savings in my account- Out of which INR 3,50,000 was borrowed from father and now given back to him)
3) INR 1,85,234 (Savings in Spouse's account)
4) INR 28,400 (My Provident fund)
5) INR 68,000 (Spouse's Provident fund)
6) INR 1,26,000 (Surrender Value of LIC)

B) - Total Liabilities - INR 4,00,000 -- $7,143

So, Total Available Settlement Fund is (A) - (B) = $ 22,837

Now, would that be okay if I show valuation report of jewellery as I have
given back borrowed money to my father..??

Settlement funds are liquid and unencumbered funds. It is not just assets minus liabilities. From your list above, the fixed deposit, your and your wife's savings and the surrender value of LIC qualify as settlement funds. Your and your spouse's provident funds also qualify as settlement funds IF you can withdraw them in cash on demand. Jewelry would not count.

Second, you cannot represent borrowed funds as settlement funds. If you can't show the required settlement funds out of your own money you don't qualify for FSW. If you represented borrowed funds as your own in your original application, you committed the criminal offense of misrepresentation and if the reviewers discover it you will be rejected and banned from Canada for 2 years or longer. It is possible that the local VO will ask you for 6 months or more of bank statements to verify.

Initially (Till a month ago) they issued so many PRs and PPR and PCC requests.
All of sudden process has been stalled....!

But common dd for me and spouse of 980 $ is fine ?
Or to have seperate DD for both.

This is an AOR, can you tell us when did you receive PER? I can't find your entry in SS, have you got a different name there?

It's Arash in SS. I got my PER on October 6. But as I told before, I can't get why my AOR comes from Paris and not Ankara!!!

Just one thing to mention here is UCI number doesn't have any alphabets, it a all numerical 8 digit number... The number that starts with E is an application number, which they add to every application. is your's NOC 2174?
