Depends if you have a gap in the address or not. Did you put your home address for the time period that you were travelling (that is, no gap in your history)? If so, then you probably won't be rejected. BUT, since your travels where 3 months long you should really have noted them as separate addresses in your personal history. You should make the correction and inform your VO after PER.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did put my home address and there is no time gap in the history. I don't remember what I was thinking while filling the form. I guess I might be only thinking of the addresses where I stayed during studying and working, but I don't remember what I was thinking now. Even when I sent additional documents to CIC about some other forms, this didn't get my attention. So I am thinking if I should send another forms to CIC, but I assume it might be annoy to them since I already did this once.

Does anyone know if any applicant was rejected due to this?

Hi friends,

PCC from Saudi Arabia
This post might be helpful for all those who are planning to take PCC from Saudi Arabia.. I am just sharing my experience here , as i got the PCC last day...

Since I am an Indian, i went to Indian consualte (Jeddah) and enquire them about pcc and its procedures. They provide two forms which we have to fill up with one for LOCAL pcc and another for CANADA in the purpose column. Then each forms need to be attach with PP copy+Iqama copy+Visa page copy + 1 photograph. Hand over these 2 set of forms with original Passport to consulate and pay the fees (nearly Sr.400/- sr for two copies).
1) They will provide the no objection letter specifically mentioned as " CANADA" stamped by consulate general and same stamp will affix in passport also. 2) The second letter is the recommendation for us to the SP office. Here we have to do some more work as below ;
- Translate the English letter from consulate to Arabic ( Sr.75/-)
- Affix the stamp from chamber of commerce in Arabic letter ( Sr.25/)
- Go to Mofa (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and stamp from there too in same Arabic letter (Sr.35/-). The working hrs is till noon only, hence go early to be first in the queue.
- Go to the SP office / Police headquarters located in Al Television street behind the IDB ( Islamic Development Bank) headquarters. Give the original passport and mofa attested letter to the policeman, and he will take the finger print and inform us the date of delivery. Normally it will take 2 weeks from them to get the report.
- Once your delivery date is reached, collect the report from police
- Again translate it to English ( Sr.75/-) as Canadian officals need letter in English
- Again go to chamber of commerce and affix stamb on it ( Sr.25/-)
- Go back to consulate/embassy and submit this original report with one set photocopy and pay Sr.50/- as fee.
- After a while they will give the report back with Consular General . Without the consulate stamp, the letter is not valid to use for any official purpose outside Saudi Arabia.
Thus the process of PCC will be completed in saudi arabia.

All in all , you may have to spend Sr.700/- while completeing this process.

Congrats and good luck to all...

Thank you os much for the reply! Does it need to be notarized in Canada or in India? I am currently in Canada, getting it notarized by an Indian lawyer would be bit challenging.

Please request again, be a little persistent. One workaround is to make an affidavit (as a last resort - if you had hammered your HR many times but still you failed) and have it notarized, I have a friend who did the same and she is now in Canada.

All the best!

Hey everybody!

I am unable to convince my HR to provide my jib description on the company letter head. Is there any work around for this?

I have read previous posts that it is mandatory. :-( [\color]

Talk to him / her one more time, patiently... and if he / she still doesn't give it to you, then you always have the seniors to talk to.

If still not... Time to become Aggressive :v

Dear friends,

i am new to this forum and i've got a situation. PLEASE ADVICE.

i am the principal applicant with enough points. my husband and our baby are the dependents and i applied as they were accompanying. while, my husband and i are considering splitting up and he does not care if he could go to canada or not. i would like to know if we get divorced before PER, will it cause delay or even get us (my baby and me, i would have the custody) rejected? what if we get divorce after we get our PR visa (if that could happen)?

I SINCERELY NEED YOUR ADVICE.

and best luck to all brothers and sisters here.

It won't cause you to be rejected. However you must keep your local VO informed of all updates. You will need to supply a copy of your divorce papers and the court order granting you custody. It must be legal and binding, no informal arrangements or affidavits are acceptable.

Additionally, there is a form for your ex-husband to consent to you bringing your baby to Canada without him. I believe you must obtain his consent on this form EVEN if you have been granted custody of the baby. To be sure, you should consult an immigration lawyer (not a consultant) or ask your local VO after receiving PER.

Good luck.
