Hi Folks,

Recieved MR, PCC and RPRF request on 21st of October (ECAS line updated on 15th) but my consultant forwarded to me today only. Now planning to go for medical tests. My spouse has mild levels of psoriasis (a skin disorder, genetic , not contagious) and is under medication. Does anybody have any idea if Psoriasis can be flagged as a serious medical issue?

I am not sure why the CIC has become so slow in processing the apps?
They were going at an amazing pace till june applicants and all of a sudden

I really hope that they are back on track with the same pace as they were working before.

I need to ask you a quick question. One of my friend also wants to apply for skilled worker before the express entry. Whats the last date he can send his application? Is express entry be valid on 1st of January 2015? Does he have to send before that date?

Have you send a query to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca regarding your application status if no, do it right now and no one can tell whats going on.

I attached only one reference letter since i have worked only in 1 company for more than 4 years post my Graduation/B.E.

Also, i attached form-16, tax forms, salary slips, promotion letters, deputation letter to UK, UK deputation tax documents, Payslips from UK deputation etc - all from the same employer.

Only thing i did not sent was PCC from UK. It is ready with me, but waiting for MR and PCC request now.

Fortunately, i was the first one to get PER on August 21 (August 14 app. received date). But this wait for MR is a nightmare now

May be it is the background check which is taking time? But in any case, the ECAS should hhave been updated by now which is not :/

these forms don't have anyplace to sign,

for fee payment I am using bank draft, please confirm.

Congrats.

Having psoriasis is not a problem. But if in case your psoriasis is very apparent on the day of your medical, it is still alright coz the Doctor knows and is very aware that it is not contagious and will not be a threat in Canada.

Just get a prescription & Medical Certificate from our Family Physician that your spouse has psoriasis which is not contagious and that he is totally fit to travel or work abroad and also take a Medication he been taking. The Doctor will most probably attach that to your medical results.

Please keep me posted also as i am 30th June applicant with DD from Uae Exchange (via Indusind bank) as i checked with Indusind bank and they confirmed me that DD is valid only for 3 months much worried. Let me know once things get clear at your end.

If you are sending DD then no need to sign Fee payment form & no signature is needed on Supplementary form as there is no signature field.

Does anyone know if married and husband's name is not on passport. Would CIC make that an issue when it comes to passport request? Is it mandatory to update passport name if married?

PCC from Saudi Arabia
This post might be helpful for all those who are planning to take PCC from Saudi Arabia.. I am just sharing my experience here , as i got the PCC last day...

Since I am an Indian, i went to Indian consualte (Jeddah) and enquire them about pcc and its procedures. They provide two forms which we have to fill up with one for LOCAL pcc and another for CANADA in the purpose column. Then each forms need to be attach with PP copy+Iqama copy+Visa page copy + 1 photograph. Hand over these 2 set of forms with original Passport to consulate and pay the fees (nearly Sr.400/- sr for two copies).
1) They will provide the no objection letter specifically mentioned as " CANADA" stamped by consulate general and same stamp will affix in passport also. 2) The second letter is the recommendation for us to the SP office. Here we have to do some more work as below ;
- Translate the English letter from consulate to Arabic ( Sr.75/-)
- Affix the stamp from chamber of commerce in Arabic letter ( Sr.25/)
- Go to Mofa (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and stamp from there too in same Arabic letter (Sr.35/-). The working hrs is till noon only, hence go early to be first in the queue.
- Go to the SP office / Police headquarters located in Al Television street behind the IDB ( Islamic Development Bank) headquarters. Give the original passport and mofa attested letter to the policeman, and he will take the finger print and inform us the date of delivery. Normally it will take 2 weeks from them to get the report.
- Once your delivery date is reached, collect the report from police
- Again translate it to English ( Sr.75/-) as Canadian officals need letter in English
- Again go to chamber of commerce and affix stamb on it ( Sr.25/-)
- Go back to consulate/embassy and submit this original report with one set photocopy and pay Sr.50/- as fee.
- After a while they will give the report back with Consular General . Without the consulate stamp, the letter is not valid to use for any official purpose outside Saudi Arabia.
Thus the process of PCC will be completed in saudi arabia.

All in all , you may have to spend Sr.700/- while completeing this process.
