BTW, I've been reading that PCC has a 3 month validity when submitted with the initial application, is that true?

I sent in my application on 6/26 with the PCC and got my PER on 10/22, will this mean that I'll need to get an updated PCC and submit it? If so, it blows!

PCC has a 3 month validity when submitted with the initial application, this is true.
The words, "WITH THE INITIAL APPLICATION" are important. If the PCC was not more than 3 months old at the time of submission of your "initial application", you should be good.
Normal validity of PCC is is full year. So you need not submit again.

Why don't we submit and book a slot online . I did it for myself and it took just 15 minutes to complete all the procedures

If you are married, expected things are as follows

1: your passport
2: wife passport
3. marriage certificate ( may not require if spouce details are there on the passport)

for me it was not there, so they suggested a PCC which includes my name only and I grabbed it

True, online registration is simple.
Correction in docs required though. you will require only current address proof and passport copy. No other docs are required for PCC at Passport office or passport seva kendra.
Marriage certificate or spouse passport not required for PCC issuance.

Hey Buddy, I strongly recommend against using Agents for the FSW process. CIC recommends that you do it yourself if you can read english and have access to the Internet. Everything you need is out there.

And, should you have any questions in the process, feel free to stop by here, and someone will assist you.

I myself spoke to an agent in Canada first, then decided to do it myself (and I don't regret it a bit). I found this forum to be the best "agent" in the world . Thanks to all the seniors who share their wisdom on this forum.

Totally agree,, the forum is like having an agent at no cost cause some agents only want your money and have no clue wat they r doing, i lost $3000.00USD to one last yr, did it myself this yr, got my per oct 17, 2014
