Hi All,
Can someone please help.
I sent the application under the category 2173 on 15th August, 2014.
I am already on work permit in Canada which is expiring in 2 weeks, I need the file number to get an extension of my work permit.
Can you please guide by when should i expect any notification from cic.
Also what is the difference between a file number and PER?

Dear - It depends on many things; do check the trend for current PER trend. Back in 2013; they were taking 2+ months so send you PER (having file number) for complete applications.

Can any one tell me why does CIC website is not being updated every week, is there any issue or all of a sudden CAP full
I am worried. Can some one tell me a time line for me as i am new to this forum.

21-08-14 App Received Date
09-12-14 CC/DD Encashment
24-12-14 PER
10-02-15 MR, RPRF & PCC
18-03-15 PPR
23-05-15 Visa

Got per mail today 3 hours before Noc 1114. Application recived date 25th june. DD enchashed 14th oct. Per 23rd oct on diwali thank you god and be positve who are still waiting

I was worried as my file was received on 6th June and no response from CIC even bank showed my DD was not cashed yesterday. Bt hey its diwali today and a PER mail cud be the best possible diwali gift........
Just got my PER mail.................
I know many hurdles r still der bt Feeling so relaxed......... ;D

Why has CPC-Ottawa gone into hibernation mode? They have only sent a very few MR/PCC requests this months... any input on this one?
