It just took 6 days for process. Got approval yesterday.
Feeling very happy!! Now i can stay in Canada till 2017

Did you by any chance forget to pick New Delhi or Ottawa from the list? Looks like that place in Senegal is the first city in the list and may have been picked up as a default. Abidjan starts with a and b..just wondering. This seems to be too big a mistake to happen on their behalf..but you never know!

No I have kept copy of my form and I checked it again that I mentioned CPC Ottawa as visa office. Even I was thinking the same way at start because of "Abidjan" starting with "A" and someone might have forgotten to pick the right country from drop down while allocating the file to VO.

But one of my friend told me that they send applications to other visa offices once they see that they have sufficient applications in one particular office like Ottawa or NewDelhi for next few months and to balance the workload they give it to other visa offices that might be having less workload.

But even this does not seem to be the case because applicants after me also have got VO as ottawa or NDVO in their PER.

Cos CAP must have been based on completeness check and not PERs issued.

Do you think 2174 CAP based on completeness check or encahsed process (cc or DD) ??

There were a few entries which were charged later. Hence we can only assume that it was based on Completeness check.

First of all. Caps on CIC site are not for you (applicants of FSW 2014). They are for those who are still going to join us. So, CIC made notification for noc 2174 not to do it.
If you remember, they updated all caps (including noc 2174 to 817) in the end of the workday on Thursday. And in the Friday's morning they set noc 2174 to 1000.
It was totally artificial cap.

My prediction: all noc 2174 until September (September is excluded) will be in cap.

I'm also a 1123 app and waiting for PER (July 2nd...almost there!)
I'm very worried as well about my duties...as you said it's very difficult to match them all.

1123 is a fairly broad field and there aren't too many people who can claim that they did a majority of the duties on that list because in the real world many of those duties would come under totally different departments in the company (say for example: Media Marketer - Marketing department vs. Communication Specialist - Public Relations department) and the visa officers probably recognize this, so you should be fine as long as just some of them match.

I respect your view, but I don't think 2174 will go upto Sept recieved applications. Will be really happy if I am wrong though..

Used Blue Pen
No Name on Birth Certificate (I got it translated though)
Typed Wrong NOC Code (for irrelevant work experience)

i am 30th July applicant for this NOC and i'm very confused
