I worked as a database admin for an Import Export company. will it be ok or does it have to be in an IT company ?

I guess your company is either in private or public sector and there is some IT unit (division) in your company. So it should be fine.

Generally one week... In my case they tried to charge CC on 20th Aug which failed.... 2nd attempt was on 27th Aug which went successful...

I am a 26th June applicant and my CC got charged on 14th of October. ( just saw the same in my statement).

My concern is that I Still haven't received a mail from CIC. Can anyone help me understand the reason for this delay. Has anyone also faced a similar issue?

Please remove the company name - we should not share personal information here.

1. Your company is private one. So it is in private sector.

2. There is a IT unit or division and you are working on it. It could be one member team also.

So as you meet point 1 and 2, you are eligible to apply.

Diplomatru & Jason911, sometimes it happens if someone might have overlooked or a JOKE went above the head. But we ppl need to maintain the DECORUM of this forum and place, likely or unlikely we stay unitedly and most of us follow the same.

CANADA is a FREE country, and hope this platform is a learning lesson for all of us, how we gonna live/react/behave in a MULTI CULTURAL LAND of MAPLE.
GUDLUK to all members. Request to ppl if in case you are offended or hurt, please pass on your explanation or message thru PM. with that atleast newbie's will be free from such stuff.

Hope we all understand this kind a situation. I have shared a small example here from an earlier post, from one if a newbie.

Exactly, for the sake of this forum and its sanity, I've deleted my post with joke this morning.

People in this forum come from different cultural background and people have different level of tolerance about different things. If one finds something offensive, one must first try to understand the real intent behind it before reacting and then react in a way that conveys the message politely otherwise it could back-fire. This was a perfect example of what cultural difference can do. Where I live, people think more practically so it's ok if someone points out at something bad about my country as long as it's truthful and explicitly mentions not really intended to harm or target a group especially because we can only improve if we learn to accept our own shortfalls and people here understand that every country, race, group or individual on this planet has strengths and weaknesses, so it's fine if we have weakness as long as we are ready to accept it.

But the same thing may not be ok in some other culture especially where people tend to think more passionately and emotionally. When I used to live in India I used to think more passionately and emotionally too. Earlier if someone said something bad about India, I used to react emotionally but now if some does I'd say "yes we need to improve on this" if they're truthful, otherwise I'd say better check your knowledge before posting but I'd not be angry about it especially because I have so much confidence in my own country and I believe that a comment or a joke by someone can never insult what people of my country has put together. And I changed after coming to the UK because I accepted that emotional thinking is my shortfall and I improved upon it.

In any case, to end this topic I am making it clear once more that I have full respect for every country on this planet. I don't and never intend to harm anyone even if there's something I can gain from it.

Experts need help please... my consultant yesterday said i have got medical and all but he sent me jus one mail as follows.
Please provide the following items within 30 days:

1. Police certificates from India and Saudi Arabia for self and spouse (if a good quality colour photocopy of the attached form is presented, this may suffice to obtain these certificates. If not, please advise us and we will send by post).


2. Please also complete and return the attached form and provide scanned copies of passport bio pages.
