One quick help. I have submitted my proof of funds via bank letter. Now can i use that for investing somewhere else? Will CIC of NDVO check on this to verify the proof of funds.

Need urgent help:

Our document delivered at NS on July 14th. After a month my husband has changed his passport. He has made his new passport as his old passport has expired. But we haven't informed anything at CIC. Do we need to inform and send notarized copy of his new passport? please reply soon.

No need to send the copy of new passport. It is to be submitted after file has been transferred to your local VO..

As I know from previous years it's not that critical to keep funds at bank all the time. At least there was no rejection for that. As for our family, we decided to take money from the bank, exchange them to CAD and open a new account in CAD. And to keep in that account only the minimum that is needed, cause there is also little trust for banks in Russia. Our national currency is falling drastically, so it's just extremely unprofitable and risky to keep the same account (in national currency) since may.

Still lot of earlier date applicants waiting for their MRs. I got PER on 4th Sept and still in Q.

Have patience and you should hear something within next 2 weeks for sure.

Hi guys,

I have finally managed to send across my new payment form.

After going into shock at first instance, I've managed to gather strength, thanks to all the forum members like Can0l, GSW, century, Ashif, optimist3, Saps, Diplomatru, wahip, SonOfOdin and others..

Bottomline: Sent two new payment forms as alternatives with a cover letter this morning thru UPS. Expectation is that its gonna reach by Monday..... With the current rate of CIC charging, my application date could come into picture as soon as next Friday (24th October)... Lets see now...

Just now received PER mail from my consultant. It was received 4:56PM Eastern Time on 15th October 2014.

Few important points related to my application:

1. I have worked in 4 organizations and sent reference letter on company letter heads for my present company (2+ years) and last company (4+ years). For the remaining two, I took an email copy duly signed by my supervisor and attached their business cards.
2. I had a HDFC DD which didn't state any expiry date

I am so happy and relieved ... it's been a long wait of 125 days but totally worth it. For people waiting for their PER my advise would be to wait patiently and do not get flustered by future date applicants getting PER before you. Even in my case, many people from third week of June have already received their PER. What matters is that I too received it...

Party tonight and then another patient wait for MR....
