One thing eventually leads to another. If the VO is unable to make a 'conclusive' decision regarding an applicants tenure, then there is no other path available, especially if such an employment was meant to add the required points to qualify, which in this case it did.
Secondly, even if the LOR did not contain a date, but the applicant included the latest copies of his payslips and/or appraisal letter (both documents are always dated by default) - it would have helped the VO in making a conclusive decision regarding his tenure. As the letter explains : "
All employment letters and supporting documentation provided regarding this employment were taken into consideration.". Therefore I will be really surprised if the applicant included the latest payslips and/or appraisal letter.
