My Application was Received on 7th August.

1. By when I can expect to hear from CIC? I am first time applicant
2. I didn't had any DOB certificate as such. But I included the PAN CARD, Class Xth Marksheets and Certificates, and also the PAN CARD. Would that Suffice for the DOB Proof.?

It generally takes around 3 to 4 months,
and regarding ur Proof of birth have u sent an affidavit along with ur marksheet?

My app received date is 9th may and MR date was 29th sept. I underwent medicals on 4th oct.
I did call FBI, they give standard answer that it will take bit longer

I have deadline of 13th Nov to send PCC to NDVO.
I guess I will shoot them an email.

MR received date ?

FBI PCC is valid for only a year. However, It's NDVO's call.
About your present app wit FBI - why don you try calling their call centre ?

Mostly NDVO replies are quick like 5-10 working days as per what is reported in this forum.

No I have not attached any affidavit... As I was under impression that the Class Xth Marksheet is attended and accepted as DOB Proof everywhere...

If your class X certificate has your DOB,fathers name,mothers name clearly mentioned then no affidavit is required.

I had sent a mail to CIC on August 21st asking if they received my additional documents for Payment Form as I lost my CC. I got a repy yesterday which is as follows:

"Please be advised that on October 2, 2014 a letter was sent to you via e-mail. Your file is currently in the queue for shipment to the visa office in New Delhi."

Now the question is, what exactly do they mean when they say "queue for shipment to VO"

1.) How is it shipped? I thought it would be scanned copies sent electronically. That would have speeded up the process a lot. If they are sending it by courier, its acceptable. But if they are sending it trough reguloar post, no wonder NDVO is taking so much time to dish out MR requests for applicants If anyone knows details regarding this, please post on the forum.

2.) Queue for shipment is scary. Not only that the documents have to be shipped, it should wait for its turn to be shipped!!!

i am afraid my friend there have been some instances where cic have rejected applications without affidavits.

Hi Friends,

I have sent my docs (including RPRF receipt, PP copies and PCC) and they have been received by NDVO on 3rd October. I have one question from all those who have sent these documents long time back or have already received the PPR, How do we come to know that our RPRF payment has been attached with our file?

I am asking this because when we make RPRF payment there is no info regarding our file number so I am little confused that in case NDVO misses the documents sent by us and they later blame us of not sending the docs. I want to avoid any such (although rare) scenario and want to check if it is possible to check the link between fee receipt number and our file.

One possible solution I can see is ECAS, where we can choose receipt number as selection but it doesn't work for me. Can you guys please check?

How do you know that documents have been received by NDVO on 3rd October. Which courier company u used which can courier on PO Box. I think you must have used India Post (normal)?

Ok Thanks my friend.. Can you pls suggest if I can get the Affidavit ready and if at all they ask I can send them immediately... Hope they will not be rejecting the complete file.... And if at all file is returned, will they be considering again..?

It does mention everything (Father, Mother and DOB in words) very clearly and infact I had sent the colored photo copies of my certificates...
