One more questions forum mates,

As my application was returned in FSWP 2013 due to cap reached and plan to reapply before end of May. Do I have to secure an updated employment certificate from my current employer? The last letter was dated Dec 23, 2013. I am kinda hesitant because they are not so happy to give a letter to begin with.

If its the same job, CIC might consider, but I would recommend that you try at least.
Its almost a 5 month gap between Dec and May.

Folks, I have sent my Files for FSW last week and has received at teh Immigration office (NS). But I am ina problem now.

i have applied for Quebec during December 2013 and haven't got any updates since last week. Also the DD i have sent has been expired by end of February (i checked with the bank during April and confirmed that the DD is expired and can be encased). And I understand from my consultant that the DD will be returned to me and I have to send a new one since it is expired.

But now i have received a letter from Quebec saying my file is open, with the file no (HAxxxxxxxxx). But No DD tagged.

what should i do now? will this be a problem for my FSW. I would liek togo ahead with FSW as i believe i could get in to the first 100 for my NOC.

please help me in this regard.

My application package was received by CIO on 8th May. I am changing my job in next 2 weeks. Should I inform CIC about it now or wait to receive PER and send details about new Job to local visa office?

i don't see any reason to inform them at all... since you are applying based on your previous experience, everything that happens in a meanwhile doesn't change your application in any way. this is how i see it.

I have a question regarding re-submission of application. I am asking this in favor of one of my friend. He submitted his application 2nd of May. unfortunately he didnt sign background declaration form. he managed 2nd copy of IELTS result by this time. is it wise to apply again? cause CIO will issue a UCI no against his 1st application. I think his 1st application will return 2 months later if CIO reject it. till then he dont want to wait. he want to submit the application again. But before go through his 2nd application CIO officer will assigned a UCI no against 1st application. will it create some mess? cause UCI field will become null for his 2nd application.

I would advise to send the second file asap if he has all docs ready. There is no issue with UCI etc. If they will issue UCI then they have it in their system and can find it using full name and DOB. So don't worry about that. Even if he wait for file to return and then re-submit that is same as sending second file now.

One question of my interest though. How did he manage to get second copy of IELTS. Is he from India?

i don't see any reason to inform them at all... since you are applying based on your previous experience, everything that happens in a meanwhile doesn't change your application in any way. this is how i see it.

I would say so too since there are no guarantees what happens in the future.

In my opinion, it should not be a problem, just provide pay stubs for last 7-8 months (Oct-April) to prove that you have been in the same company at same position.

However, more ideal situation would be that you just take regular experience letter.

In both cases, explain in your cover letter that the attached experience letter (mentioning your duties & responsibilities) was obtained in 2013 to apply under FSW 2013, however, by that time CAP was filled. The management resist to issuance of such descriptive letters, so u r submitting the same with a proof (paystub or simple/regular experience letter) that you are employed at same organization and position.

Hopefully, it shud suffice, nonetheless nothing can be compared to fresh letter, remember its difficult for the first time after that ppl get used to it

I dont see any issue with this. The first application will be rejected for sure, there is no doubt about that.

Yes a UCI will be generated which the applicant doesnt know yet. But from what I understand, none of the applications last year were rejected for not mentioning UCI.

If he reapplies now, he might still get in. And even if he doesnt - the maximum cost is the courier fees.

From how I see it, a lot of potential benefit with minimal cost.
