This might be useful peice of information to you all. I had raised a CSE to NDVO on Sep23 asking if they need USA PCC for me since i did not stay in US for 6 months continously out of 10 months of my stay on H1B. I also asked them incase they require, if they will provide me an extention to submit the PCC since FBI has now made the processing to 10-12 weeks. I received a response from them today and they asked me to submit the PCC and gave 12 weeks of time to submit the same. They also mentioned that i should submit the other docs like India PCC,RPRF and medical within the given timeline. Below is the response i received from them:


Dear Applicant :

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please be advised that although your stay in USA was not for 6 months at a stretch, you are still required to submit an FBI clearance certificate.

We give you an extension to submit the FBI certificate and you may submit the same within 10-12 weeks' time. However, you must undergo medical examination and submit other documentation/information requested in our e-mail dated September 23, 2014 within 45 days as advised in our e-mail. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

This is strange that you got reply so soon. I raised CSE on 9th September and haven't yet got any reply .

More so you gotta take into account that this update is for possible 6 working days and the previous ones have been for 5 working days ..... so the otherwise number of applications processed would be still about 100/day .... 595 in 6 days or before this 503 in 5 days ....

Good point. I think normalization against total neutralizes this factor too. Notice that 56 apps / 5 days = 11.2%, and 60 apps / 6 days = 10%, so the rate is actually slowing down.

NDVO on average update status after around 50 days of issuing PER. So, you may get your status updated by 15th October. Wait till that time.

I'm bit worried. Got PER on 19th Aug'14 but until now there is no change in status sent the mail also still no response. It only says we received your application.

Any idea by when can I expect the next step.

I asked my bank last Monday and they informed me that the DD issued is not yet en-cashed.
A little bit worried and nervous. Can anyone enlighten me about this?
Is there any 6 June 2014 applicant whose DD was en-cashed?

I am interest to applying fsw 2014 under NOC: 2171, Currently CIC caps for NOC: 2171 are 311 my question is this 311 count refers the completed application received and review by CIO or count refers the PER sent to Principal Applicant on this NOC.

Guys... need some help!!

In generic form, What should we write under Current occupation and Intended occupation? Mine is NOC 1123. Should I mention

Current Occupation : NOC 1123 - Marketing management
Intended occupation : NOC 1123 - Marketing management

There is not enough space to write "Professional occupations in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations". Because, they asked for occupation and not designation, I am not mentioning my current title.

For 1123 -> My role doesn't involve any PR activities. I cannot mention any PR responsibilities in my reference letter. I hope that is ok.

And in Schedule A form, Under education details, I think break up should be 8+4+4+2, given 1 to 8th is considered Elementary school in India. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not able to fit in my college name and field of study in the provided space. Is it ok, if I attach separate sheet? I wouldn't have doubted if it had been more number of columns in given.

Some questions may sound silly, but I feel it is better to be silly than sorry

It will take time to know by your bank whether your DD has been encashed or not - it may take around 3 days to 15 days to know it.

The following following flow can explain why it takes time to know DD encashment (posting it 2nd time in a day):

Please note the DD encashment flow below:

1. CIC submit DD to Central Bank of Canada (encashment day for CIO)

2. Central Bank sent it physically to Royal Bank of Canada (DD drawn on the bank) - it may perform same day or take several day.

3. Royal Bank will verify with ICIC bank in India
|
V
4. ICIC bank confirm and release the money
|
V
5. Royal Bank will confirm getting the money -possible time when ICIC bank will declare encashment
|
V
6. Royal bank release it to Central Bank of Canada
|
V
7. CIO get its money

Note the time difference between step 1 and step 5. Because of this gap, it takes time to bank to confirm encashment.

Any banker, if I am wrong, please let me correct it.

So it means that the time CIC will do the preliminary assessment of each application that is the start of the procedure you mention?

Seniors,

As per 29th September I see total applications received is 392 for NOC 2173. My application was received by CIC on August 13th. I am curious to know if I am still in the race??? Also as per spreadsheet my CC estimated charge date is Nov 4th-14th.I have deposited 7 Lakhs in the bank as a Fixed deposit for 1 year. I want to know when can I close the FD??? Is that after receiving MR???
