Hey guys,

1st of all congo to all who got MR, PCC, RPRF request from NDVO

i m also gng to receive soon...finger crossed... just one question abt PCC, tht today i come to know that to issue PCC it is not compulsaory to go to PASSPORT SEVA KENDRA, you can issue it from SP office also. is this true?

can anyone from Gujarat state (India) gone thru such situation? will NDVO will consider such PCC or it must be issued by the PASSPORT SEVA KENDRA only? can any one pls shed some light on my query?

it can be issued from SP office too. not necessary from PP office. CIC website mentions this.. i got my PCC (submitted with app) from SP office but not from gujarat..

Observing many new people coming/posting on this forum and I am sure there will be many silent observers.

I want to make a humble request to everyone to atleast update their entry in spreadsheet even if they feel/ are not posting/active/helping people on the forum, realizing that this forum is helping us all in some way (preparing apps/ clarifying all doubts, giving us moral support and even boosting our confidence and our patience as well).

Hi All,

I recently received MR from NDVO. Can someone please help me with the below queries ASAP?

1. I was in USA last year for overall 10 months but did not stay there continuously for 10 months. I was in US from Mar-July and then in Canada for two weeks in August and then back to USA from Mid Aug to Dec end. So since the stay was not continuous will i need US PCC?

2. In how many days NDVO replies on a CSE raised? They say they will reply within 28 days...anyone experienced a timely reply from them?

3. I will be travelling to Seattle in next few weeks. Hopefully if things go well and i get visa stamped sometime later, can i land in Vancouver just to get PR formalities done and later on move to Toronto? Does the landing place matter?

Please shed some light on this. Thanks a bunch!

1. The PCC requirement states 6 continuous months of residence. Were you on a visitor visa or some kind of temporary resident visa (such as working)? Did you list your stay in the USA under "addresses" (i.e. you felt you were based in the USA at that time) or did you have an address elsewhere during that time and only listed your USA stay under "travels?" If you were on a temporary resident visa you would be considered resident in the USA for the entire time and the 2 weeks in Canada would be a holiday from your USA residence, so I think you'd need a PCC. From the information you've provided I'm guessing it was not a temporary resident visa so it doesn't seem you need a PCC but I also wouldn't be surprised if you got a request for a USA PCC from your VO.

2. Nobody really knows how long it will take them to answer. They may not answer at all if they feel an answer is not necessary, for example if you simply provided updated documents and they can take them into account without further information from you.

3. You can land anywhere that's not in Quebec, and after landing you can move anywhere you like. Note that you will need to provide an address in Canada at which you can receive your PR card.

All, something Odd so I thought should share. I am a May 07 applicant with PER received on August 7th I guess. Status quo thereafter, however, Just now, One of the Immigration Officer has added me to his LinkedIn profile. I thought this is very strange so I must share. I do not actively follow up this forum only log on to post anything to my case. If this has been happening to other people and been discussed, disregard or lemme know what happens

I don't recall anyone being added on a social network by a visa officer but it has been previously discussed in the forum that they do check your social networking profiles and other publicly available information about you.
