Its my request to adminstratets plz update spread sheet according to noc . So that its easy to count how many applications in particular noc

I think in the Excel sheet if we use Tab - Data-Filter views -select applicable NOC group option it might show the count. but 2014 spreadsheet seems to be different than 2013, anyhow Admins may ponder more info. on this request. Thanks.

Expert Suggestions:

Principal of Dual Intent:

1) Already gather funds in Nova Scotia Bank CAD 10,000 as living expense for a course in canada even before FSW 2014 was announced. Missed admission deadline for May intake for 8 months PGDM course.

2) Now FSW 2014 opened up, and already applied for PR
Applied FSW: 9th May 2014 and showed the same funds of CAD 10,000 + F.D

I have submitted all my Docs and with accuracy (by gods grace)

Under Principal of dual intent, I can go for studies besides application of PR.

Questions:

1) Based on the date of application, how soon (Month) do experts/admins think I will get a positive news for PR ? (because I am planning for Sep intake and if i get PR, I might change my mind)

2) If I am in canada, and have already used partial of my Funds (10,000) on docs being requested again at main VO in delhi, will it be a problem, as this time funds will fall short from $11,824..
Under principal of dual intent, in spite of I'm already living in canada, will it be a problem ?

Any observations or risks ?

1. 2/3 month at CIC + 22 month at New Delhi VO (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#asia). Note that it is standard time to process which could varies in individual cases.
2. Current account is expected to be fluctuated; you use that fund but ensure that time to time (preferably monthly) you recharge your account to fill CAD10,000.

will they return my files if i forgot to seal them in an envelope?

i simply put all files in ups envelope, and forgot to put them in another envelope and wrote down noc category on it.

will that lead to rejection of my application. i m getting nervous ... thanks for asking.

The instruction guide says to sign the application in Step 3: Pay the fees section. Not sure if that is applicable for all the applicants or only for applicants using credit card.
Also, should I submit photographs of all family members even if they are not accompanying me and are not my dependents?

The fee payment form said in step 4: "Check the appropriate box to indicate your method of payment", if you pay by bank draft then completion section A (where the signature is not required).

Signing in Signature of cardholder field simply confuses CIC officer if you intend to pay by bank draft only.

Hi

I am working a java developer titled as "Senior Software Engineer" and below are my job duties:
--> Analyzing the customer requirements & giving estimates.
--> Write, modify & test code for web applications.
--> Maintain existing web application code.
--> Preparing documents related to web application

I can see my job title and some of the main duties under NOC 2173. Though I can't see my exact job title under NOC 2174 but i feel my main duties matches better with NOC 2174.

I am confused whether I need to under NOC 2173(my job title is mentioned in it) & 2174(But my main work duty which is java programming is mentioned in it)? Can anyone please let me know under which category shall i apply?

Nope. ECA is not required for spouse neither education documents are required as per checklist.
For visa office it might be a problem or might not be. Not really sure about that.

It seems among 217X NOC codes 2174 seems to be very Hot this year too, similar as last year 2013, as seen now on 2014 spreadsheet.

1. Click on you name shown at left. You will directed into your profile section.
2. At the left, you will find Modify Profile. Click on Forum Profile Information from there.
3. Make changes and save it.

You are done.

I put all my package in the Courier form and pasted the NOC code on the PACKAGE, along with the Automated shippers sticker, but missing it as in your case may not be a problem in my thought and will go through and accepted by CIC. Stay cool and pray.

My opinion, base on some data here it goes

Last yr around 20-30% of the applicants used it, depending on the NOC, but this %age is true for all HOT NOCs as these involve more tech sevy professions (Compt Sc., Engineering, and Finance).

Around 60-70 applicants for these NOCs have provided the data, which means around 300-400 per NOC.

Now, to have a conservative estimate, i consider it half full because some of the guys whos application were returned last year due to the cap would have simply resent their applications without refering to the forum. Hence, we don't have their data, my estimate is 30-40 such candidates per HOT NOC.

By NO MEANS, I want to DISCOURAGE ANY ONE. The reason for my analysis are two fold
1. Complete your application ASAP.
2. Don't rush, give a thorough review. Check each & every entry, specially match the numbers and dates. Ask your close family members to review it. Something, might have skipped your mind.
THEN use UPS to send your application, as they have better performance (based on general comments of other applicants, only few complained abt UPS, Fedex is 2nd best, DHL is worst). Check expected timings from all available couriers (both website and center representative). Personal experience, Center representative guys have better idea based on feedback from customers, website estimate sometimes tends to be over optimistic.

In the Background Declaration Form do I need to put all addresses? I mean when I was out of country as a tourist I stayed at Hotel, or in my home country when I stayed in my relatives house, do I need to give hotel address & relative's address?
