One of my friend went there on PR in May, he said that 500-700 CAD $ is enough for food for family of 4.
Even main expense is of House / Rent.
Rest all other stuff is not expensive.
So moamana82 is right, 3500-4000 CAD $ per month is more then enough for a normal average life for a middle class family .

Well!! We can never ever agree on one amount in this matter. Its a matter of personal life style, including what one eats and how much. So, if you think 3-4k is enough, its good for you. If some one says they need 7k, they have to work harder to achieve that. Its a mean point of view and should not be contested.

Thanks for your valuable responses guys .

My intent by asking the question was to figure out "How much cash one(w/o family) need to carry in order to survive 7-8 months w/o job ."

If you don't earn, you don't have to pay tax . So don't count taxes . ::) ::) ::)

Thanks in advance and it will help me and many others to plan well .

you can leave assets and liabilities blank if you are not sure.
Settlement funds is what is important. POF needs to be provided for settlement funds.

Assets = settlements funds + other assets if any. So don't leave blank
Liabilities =0 if no liabilities, why leave blank?

Thanks Brother, but I can be ur Sis

Nothing. Just relax. Forms have changed after application sent by you to CIC. So you need not worry

If your experiences fall under skill level O, A, or B and it is backed by detail reference letter, you will get points for both the NOC.

For 2nd case, at least provide appointment letter, relieving letter, etc to prove that you worked for that company. You won't get any points for that.

Thanks CanOl,

but how they calculate experience years in a different NOC other than the one applies for? will they do that even if this exp doesn't fall under the specific NOC under question?

I ask this because I have 9+ years of experience in the last 10 years divided as follows:

- 3 years in the NOC I applied for (0013) ---> I had a reference letter with work hours and detailed duties
- 6+ years falls under other NOC (I think 2281) ---> I only have a very generic reference letters without mentioning the job duties at all (just the position and no. of years).

Questions:
- Will they give points for the 6+ years of experience?
- How many points should I get in this case for work exp?

Regards,
Ahmed

Right..but depends on a lot of things too. First is location, not only the city but where exactly in the city. Second, don't forget the income tax (both federal and provincial, which could be 30-40% of your income). If you earn 4000 a month, you could be receiving less than 3000 a month after tax.

Also what I gave is the average for cities like Toronto and Vancouver for an average middle class standard. Don't forget middle class is a HUGE group of people with a HUGE range of income and lifestyle. Like I said, one could fall anywhere in the spectrum of the bell curve. If you want to just spend the bare minimum then like I said, even a 2000 a month is enough but you would probably be in the lower middle class group.

well said bro .... !! on a nice reply of yours, I'll give you this:

PREDICTOR BABA says, your CC charge by 3rd October and PER by 10th October ....

I left assets and liabilities blank. I hope it's not a big mistake.

hi all
in the ss there is a rejection of 12/6/14 applicant whereas cc and dd are being currently processed for 4/6/14 how come that poor chap got rejected so early?

No..Not an issue. many applicants have got PER after leaving them blank. So no worries.
