That's why it's really important to learn something about Canada before wasting time and energy to apply for immigration. Imagine this guy's surprise when he comes to Torronto and gets to know that a TTC weekly pass is 40CAD. A new arrived immigrant will need three months or even more to get his first job, so the POF required by CIC is no joke, especially if you bring family. 10000CAD will run out in no time. Be ready for it. I hate to ruin people's dreams but there is no Steven Harper waiting for you upon landing with a cheque for million loomies to praise the person who went through FSWP. They only allow you to have legal status in Canada, other than that - you are on your own. No job, no flat, no car, no CC, no DL, no medical insurance for first 6 months. 2000CAD a year for a family of three, jeez.

when filling schedule 3(IMM008) i have below doubts.
1.If my occupation is same but worked with 3 different company. should I just mention FROM date as my 1st day & To date as today irrespective of company ?
2.while filling PDF , the cells are not aligning with the partition line given for YYYY & MM . is this normal or I should fill it by hand ?
3.It asks to list main duties with 4 rows in the form. should I put detailed letter which will be repeat of my reference letter ?
4.in ce[ll 12a, it has enough space to mention MECHANICAL ENGINEERS as occupation but in cell 12b i am not able to fit full name. is this normal ?

seniors pls suggest.

Charge Time gap between apps with Cc and dd is notices to be about 15 days. So u should wait for at least 15-20 days. Icici can definitely have access to check the encashment of international dd but there must be some stupid guy who is not willing to make any effort. U should approach forex deptt or some senior in the bank.

I have 4y 3m of professional IT work experience, specializing and working fulltime *only* in database technologies, in both my previous and current company. So, NOC 2172 looks most appropriate to me.
But in Indian companies, they give roles like Software Engineer/Sr. or Software Analyst or Programmer etc.

In such case, how can i get a job experience letter stating my database related works ??

Please advise.

You do not need to worry about what job titles you have held in the past or hold currently as long as your duties match with 2172.

Your LOR can state your normal designations held. Wont be a problem at all

As per spreadsheet i can see CIC has charged applicants till 4th June. I am 2nd June applicant and sent DD to CIC, can i check status of my DD with bank now or wait for some days? Can anyone pls suggest what will be right time to check DD encashed status?

hahaha yeah yeah I know........actually I queried for one year estimation and the person replied didn't mentioned it whether for a month or a year...so based on my question I my self was amazed that how I m gona last with 2 dependents on cad2000+tax for a year for rent and food!

I do not have birth certificate for myself and my wife and our matriculation marksheet does not carry the name of our parents. After trying my best to get birth certificates made and failing at it, I finally decided to send a cover letter explaining the deficiency in documents, I provided two affidavit by me and my parents and by my wife and her parents along with matriculation certificate.

Has anyone else seen such cases being accepted by CIC?

Dear In my personal opinion you should get a certificate of non availability of birth records and attach the Same to ur application.
Well which part of India you are as there is defined process in many areas of country to get BC in case it is not available.

I really do love boarding an a380......its a dream for me to fly in one atleast once

and I would recommend everyone else to try it when flying for such a long distance. currently I think I will be taking Etihad or Emirates for that.

Another week gone and no sign of MR or second line update from LEO

I have seen in the Ss there is a 12th may applicant from London vo who has got MR.... my question is did he get his second line updated or no... London vo is really slow

I want to know the time and steps involved post submission of the application.. I notice ppl getting PERin 3months- how long from therein till PR comes?

brother after ur app is received at cio, it will take avg 3 months to get ur payment charged (regardless of cc or dd), after that u will receive an email containing ur uci and will be issued PER.

now ur app will be transferred to NDVO, this year ndvo is not issuing an AOR. with in one month avg time u will receive MR call from ndvo with additional docs like PCC and other things.

sometimes they ask to pay RPRF along medicals and pcc, sometimes they ask it after medicals.

after medicals.....u will b asked to submit passport for visa stamping.....say it take avg 20 to 30 days after medicals.

with in 2 to 3 weeks u will get passports back with visa.......

now get ready to board an A380 and u r good to go!
