I have completed my WES Skill assessment and IELTS exams and have got the required score. I have few questions and really appreciable if some one can help me regarding this:

1.I am currently in India and have to apply Police Clearance Certificate, Can anyone tell, generally how much time does it take to get a Police Clearance Certificate.

2. Is it worth applying this year, under software engineer category i.e. NOC 2173 or Consultant or System Analysts 2171. As we are already reaching end of the year. I am not sure how many slots would be remaining ?

3. If we apply this year and my application is not processed then i would be eligible for refund ?

4. Is there anything specific which i need to take care, once i start up the process. Can any one share the link to follow the necessary steps after WES and IELTS.

I got my PCC from superintendent of police office here in uttar pradesh india .. it has the signature and stamp on it.
But colored copy also looks the same with a validity of 6 months

Why are you so opposed to making a new PCC? Are you worried about any record that might show up? Otherwise, why not make it since you have plenty of time while waiting for VO to request for it. There is only a VERY small chance VO won't ask for it, but what if they asked and you couldn't get it within the allocated time? You should always be prepared for the worst case scenario especially since it's not that big of a deal.

Also, why try to fool the system knowingly?

As I am 25th August applicant of NOC2173, worried about SS and CIC upadated figure.
Could you tell me what will be the chances of my application falling in the CAP1000?

Every week we see at least two posts of yours, with the exact same question and i think i myself have answered you 2 times already

Let the June applicants complete their charging, hopefully by mid week of October, you will have a clear picture of where we all August applicants stand in the race to reach the NOC 2173 caps. Till then fasten your seat belts and Hope for the best

Hello, just a quick thought in the morning. If NOC 2174 was full early september. Shouldnt some applicants get their packages back by now because they applied after NOC filled up?

Last year i applied in 17 July, my application packet got back after around 40 days of Cap full for 2147 NOC by normal post.
Cap full on 24 September 2013 , so i got to know that packet will be returned, i got packet back in 8 November 2013.
Till 24 September they complete application upto 4th July 2013.

No chance for 2174. Better to apply for 2171, but you should do it ASAP (although it seems that this NOC might have already filled too). You don't need PCC right now, so go without it. If the cap is filled, you won't be charged. If you follow CIC's guideline and checklist for FSW, then it has everything you need to do. This link has everything you need to know:

Tell them to increase International usage on your card from 40k to at least more then 60K, if you applied as single.
You know there are some TAX also include in ...it is FESS + TAXES which will deduct...

I am unable to understand. 12th June,,, seems quite surprising. We have friends getting charged whose applications were received between 28th may to 3rd june now.. Does that mean CIC is checking the completeness first and then charging CC/DD after a week or so?????

If that is the case... my file might be under review stage... Finger crossed...... :-X

Yes, it seems completeness check is done by one team, which accepts and pushes the case to the team which does CC/DD charging. And it does seem there is a gap of 10 to 15 days right now for completeness check and payment charge.

Only one exam sitting result will be considered and results for each module in that report will be considered. So whichever result gives you maximum points, send only that.

Could people share why there is difference in day of application as per DHL and Day of application as per CIC? Are all DHL people have diff dates as per courier and as per CIC or just few exceptions? Hope to hear from forum soon

DHL uses a 3rd party courier service in Nova Scotia, that;s the reason it takes more days for the package to reach and there is mostly discrepancy in the date they provide .... It is not recommended courier service for anyone sending application and need it to reach asap.
