Hi All

I have submitted my file on 22nd July 2014 and they received it by 28-07-2014. I am waiting for PER. My question is my PP is expiring on January 2016. By the time I will receive PP request it may have less than 1 year validity. In such case what is your recommendation? I have applied through New Delhi. I am now sure how early I can request for renewal.

Please help.

No worries!

Renew your PP when you have to.

After PER you should inform your local VO about the renewed PP. This is a commonly occurring scenario with the forum members; such queries have been listed in the FAQ section of CIC website as well.

two concerns about the proof of funds

1. Should I send the original letters issued from the bank or copies will suffice?
2. My wife also have a bank account in her name and her dad's home address. Can I use the statement from that as well?

I sent original letters so better to send original letter from bank..bank statement and account maintenance certificate....better to send your account details or joint account details with your wife..

iF IN DOUBT YOU CAN GET THE ADDRESSED CHANGED IN BANK RECORDS BY GIVING A NEW ADDRESS PROOF AND FILLING kyc form.

Did you pick the lines from HRSDC?? See below, your reference letter should match around 60-70% from this below

More than 80% of applicants must not have heard anything on their application yet and still they are on the forum with their details in the SS. If we go by your logic, all the entries (without CC charge and PER) from the SS should be removed.

On one side you are refusing to share your details and simultaneously asking for assistance from the forum members !!!

Thanks for your prayers ! No, I'm not on the SS, and I'm intentionally not on it. At the moment, I fail to see the point of entering my info in the spreadsheet as the status my application (application received at CIO) has no information of relevance to any other forum members. I cant even find out if my payment has been charged (I paid by demand draft, so there's no way I can find out if my payment has been charged).

I'll update the SS as soon as I get my payment charged or get a PER.

Do you have anything official (link / document) from CIC that say's this is indeed how the process works?

Would greatly appreciate if you could provide one.

Hmm. Corrected to 17th. ;D ;D

there are two entries that accidentally reported the PER received date as September 18 (it is just 7am in NS, Canada now). could an admin please correct this to September 17? I know, it is not that important but I have an eye on data quality
