thanks for the encouragement guys!

However, if they are still processing May applications, then I have to be realistic ..right?

If I were you, I would still apply. Right now it's in a grey zone. There still is a chance you will be inside the cap. What if you didn't apply and then find out 3 months later that you would have been in the cap had you applied? There is nothing to lose. Just hope for the best and be cautiously optimistic.

@danielcaspiano

I dont have a professional accounting qualification such as CA. Just a bachelors in Accounting & Finance. And I was working as an Analyst with some elements of Accounting...

its Realistic,
if u take a close look to SS and do math urself for more clarifications.
I would not like u to REPENT, after u loose this opportunuty

look this way
if u do not send App - ur chances of not having PR is 100%
if u do sent App - ur chances of having PR is 50%

WHO CAN give u 50% Assurance man,, think about it :'(

Guys, just now got a mail from Mr. xyz from CIO:

Good morning,

Rohan Gupta
19xx/xx/xx
UCI xxxxyyyy

Due to a possible administrative oversight, your application package that was received on May 9, 2014 at CIO-Sydney was returned to you. Please return the complete application package including processing fees and photographs to CIO-Sydney for review to the address below. In order to ensure it reaches my desk, please be sure to include the attention line. If it is sent via courier, please send an e-mail with the courier tracking number, the name of the courier company and the date sent so that I can track it. For this email, please use the ATTENTION: xyz in the subject line.

Courier Address:
Centralized Intake Office
ATTENTION: xyz
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney NS B1P 5Z2
Canada

It is important to address the package as requested to avoid any further delays.

I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,
XYZ

My IELTS TRF would arrive by this weekend. Also, some forms have been updated on the CIC website. Seniors, please advise if:

1. I should send the actual returned package as it is
2. I should prepare a new package and send it to Mr. XYZ as indicated

It would be great if you could send my a PM on my query rather than replying on the forum as it gets very tough to track responses. Please advise senior members.

Thanks,
Rohan85

i think they have sent your application back becoze of some sort negligency or you can say administrative oversight...........

you should sent it back as soon as possible .............to the person name mentioned in the email and advising him the courier company name ,date of dispatch and tracking number ..............

There is nothing worse than a feeling of not being able to use an opportunity. If you dont run the race, how will you know if you will win or lose. What we are talking are all guess works. If you have your complete application pack ready, why not send it? Please give it a due thought.

Besides, there will be no other place on Earth, where in you have so many guys encouraging you to go for it. This should be motivation enough.

Oh Rohan! I am sooooooooooo happy. The battle has been won. Congratulation to you as well as to the forumites who pursue you in fighting.

It certainly got to be the best news of the month.

+1 to you. :-* :-* :-* :-*

Also I do respect the CIO to overturn their decision. +1 to them also.

And you should return the package that means send it as it is.

+1, that sounds very logical and convincing. Smart!!

My guess is there is another process, perhaps a quick round of completeness check before it goes for charging. There might be a good 20-30 days lead time between completeness check and CC/DD charging.

Seniors..... whats your take?

I think so too. What I think happens is, after checking for completeness, files are separated into two piles. One for incomplete and the other one for complete applications. The two piles are then handled in their own independent timelines with the complete ones being charged and the incomplete ones being returned. And may be there is a lag between the completeness check and when they actually charge/return the applications. The same with PER too. This would explain why sometimes the returned applications come before CC charge for the date.

+1 brother.

Did you get a chance to see the overall increase in the number? Dont you think it is highest? Is it a positive indication that they have increased the speed.

Rest of the experts, please comment...

did you calculate points with 2 yrs experience or 1 year............

some time date they consider is the date of receipt of application........

but we could expect some leniency from their side.............

i hope they will take it as 2 yrs......

Thanks Guys..Really appreciate it

I will take the risk...The Realistic figure on the SS is also encouraging...I have nothing to lose except to give it a shot

And I've decided not to mention my ID Card..since its not in English..too late for translation..just sending the doc 2moro... ;D

I am also thinking on the same lines.. 700 in a week raises some doubts..

Certainly they cant charge 700 apps in 5 days or issue 700 PER in 5 days .. (140 per day .. nope nope nope)...it is definitely based on completeness check..

Plus I was definitely thinking that CC charges have reached 28th may while DD charges havent been started from 23rd may (i think).. it is definitely not going to be like a CC guy would get preference over DD.. So i am sure they are making a queue where even though late in charging, DD guys would get equal preference..

For this there would need to be a completeness check and queue formation ..

I think this 700 increase has made me more optimistic that the number covered are at the minimum all applications on or before 28th may .. the day last charge has been made ..
