Finally got the DD today from HDFC.
just to check..

-> there is no expiry date - so default validity is 6 months..right ? (this is what bank guy said, but half of them say 3 months and half of them say 6 months..)
-> They just wrote "the receiver general for canada" by hand and not typed..is that fine ?
-> bank details are "the bank of nova scotia", Toronto, ON
-> on the back of DD, there is an endorsement section - should I sign there?
-> and I should write my name and DOB in pencil on the back of DD - right ?

Yes you can pay RPRF fees online or by DD.. both ways are good..

I am in US at the moment and I need to get a PCC for UAE. Do I send them the fingerprinting card from US as in the form that US authorities give? How do I go about UAE PCC from US? Anyone in UAE can help? Any agency does this work??

No, it's not that. When you applied you must have chosen multiple entry option with a higher fee.

Yes, you have to select it and the fees is higher. My correction was on the fact, that if its a Visa request for only travel purposes, i am not aware if selecting multiple entry option was available then.

Your consultant sent two applications for completely unrelated people in the same courier envelope???

Completely unacceptable. I would have a very stern conversation with this idiot consultant. For one thing, what if the papers got mixed up? For another, the NOC is supposed to go on the mailing label, so if different NOCs then what? What if one NOC reaches the cap and the other doesn't and CIO doesn't notice they are 2 apps and disregards both?

Consultants are horrible, never use them. And CIC hates them. If you feel you need representation, get a real lawyer.

These consultants generally do this to save on courier cost. While this is completely unacceptable, CIC accepts this as long as there are separate envelopes inside the main envelope with NOC details mentioned clearly on the inner individual envelopes and each applicant details.

But agree with you that consultants are horrible.
