Hi friends

I am gathering documents and planning to send in the first week of October but i have decided to pay by credit card so which bank card should
i used as per the experience of forum members.

I am from India and i have almost all bank credit card....

Please guide me accordingly

If you have already decided that you will be paying by credit card then why are you not able to decide which one... I would suggest use the Red coloured credit card that has maple leaf on it.. Also in the cover letter to CIC please mention that you have almost all bank credit cards from india.."ALMOST".. And you are working on getting few more... You can request to CIO if there is any issue with the card that you will be using then they can get in touch with you and you can provide few more credit card details.... :-* :-*

Hi, There are a few threads on Canadavisa on medicals so one just needs to read those and understand the process better. Unless one has a very complicated medical case I don't think need to do what you are suggesting harry!! Just my thoughts on this!!

why they are not charging these files from last week
my file is 14th may file
still not charged
may all the 31 files are rejected one or something else

hi All,

My application was received at 21st May for NOC 2174, CC charged at 2nd Sep....waiting for PER mail....

its showing 'IN PROCESS' on CIC website

has anyone got PER mail for 21st May application, any suggestion??

I'm May 21 applicant and received PER September 9. The fact it's showing 'IN PROCESS' on CIC website for you means PER is right around the corner. You just need to wait a while longer for PER mail.

I am up for it. I have shared sarcka's example many, many times and now you can see the guy applying again. And this friend is from Pakistan.

Cases from India are a dime a dozen - so even worse. CC failing folks once in every 10 days or so.

I believe two biggest reasons for file returning are:

1- Not paying sufficient attention on making a great reference letter, and
2- CC screwing the applicant's a$$

I believe many a Canadian dreams are cut short because of the above two, and coincidentally both are totally avoidable. Only if people make themselves a bit more aware that is!!! I will again start posting the DD encouragement posts from now on.

I think Oscar is very right people should send DD in place of CC details

Medical: Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26
 RPRF: Pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26
 Recent Indian original police clearance certificate for your spouse This must be received at this office by: 2014/10/26

So I believe it is infact time for me to pay RPRF.

I am showing part of settlement funds as EPF from my previous employer.

when I download the passbook it gives me the statement till October 2013

I am not working in India since July 2013.

the website ask for some UAN Number to get the latest PF statement. I dont have this UAN Number as I havent got it from my previous employer. seems UAN has been recently introduced.

The website states

• EPFO has launched an Universal Account Number (UAN) based Member Portal to provide a number of facilities to its members through a single window
• Activate your registration to avail various facilities such as UAN card download, member passbook, updation of KYC information etc.

• For registration, obtain UAN from your employer alongwith your member ID.
• Your mobile number would be required to activate registration.

So how should I explain to CIC about these facts and convince them that it is a latest statement I am sending dated October '2013.

Don't be flustered by the UAN number. Just download the EPF passbook. You can add a cover letter explaining the same, that its of old employer and you can withdraw these funds if you have to immigrate. Add supportings linking your EPF account number if you have any, for example payslip from previous organisation. Normally payslips should have the EPF number.

I also submitted EPF from previous employer and added cover letter saying, i am in the process of transferring these funds to my current EPF account.

When can we check the status online?
I think probably when CIC assign a UIC but when does CIC assign a UIC? People are able to check the status even when they don't get the PR. So I am confused...?

I guess you filled application online and validated also successfully. I understand, if the barcode is not successfully generated (the generic form start page top corner should read "Validated yes" ), there can be delays...will get processed definitely still.

Have you now got the CC charge from CIC? If so, congrats !!!! Finally! Now you can rest a little easier, and hopefully get PER by next week. After that you can really calm down and start rejoicing. At least you can finish out the wait within Canada and CPC-O seems to be going at lightning speed, so looks like you may get PR as early Christmas present. Good for you!

That's so true re: credit card bill. That is one month you won't hear any complaints about paying an exorbitant bill, dwl.
