Hi Seniors,

I am planning to submit my application this week. I have one query regarding proof of funds. I am planning to submit E receipt of Fixed deposit and downloaded PF statement from government site. I just wanted to check if CIC will accept those proof of funds or should I have to make it attested. I have checked with Bank and they said that online copy is valid, but not sure on PF statement.

Please help me on this. Thanks in advance

Copies are fine.

Fedex does not accept packages meant for PO box numbers in the US as the US postal service does not accept them. But they know that Canada postal services accept them. So they accepted the package. Got to know this from fedex helpline bcos i made the same mistake.

One general question for all my forum members

As you guys are prospective immigrants of canada and I am sure none of you gonna join baby sitting classes

Food for thought : how can we expect somebody will sign courier package if we are addressing it to some "P.o.box"
My dear friends atleast we should know difference between regular mail n courier .

Disclaimer : nothing personal

The best way is to approach the bank where you hold your account. If you have an icici bank account, find out which branch actually issues foreign currency DDs (mostly SR Nagar branch will do this). Please carry a copy of your passport and submit the document to them, they will issue the DD in one day.

I have a privilege bank account with them and my relationship manager dropped it to my house :). Check if you also have a relationship manager.

But, if you are having a govt sector bank account, i will pray for you. Perhaps you can look at foreign exchange vendors who are authorized to issue DDs.

Good Luck.

Same here. They dropped the DD to my house.

Congrates to All NDVO applicants who got the MR request. I have a question regarding Proof Of Fund. Does NDVO request the Bank statement(detailed) as a proof of POF or Balance certificate(1 day balance) is ok? And also, can we show investment in real estate as POF?

Please reply.
Thank you.

Dear friends

Now I have 2 questions about the documents:

1. I have a WES report on my master degree for which I am claiming points. Do I need to send a copy of this degree or I should send my bachelor degree to them as well.

2. What is a self-addressed lable? Is it like writing my adr on a paper ( like a note)?

Merci

1. Send bachelors degree copies as well.
2. 2 Self addressed envelopes

I have a question about settlement funds. I have been paying a kind of retirement insurance plan for 6 years now(4 more years) and educational plan for my daughter(2 more years). Do I need to declare it as my liabilities in the application form? Or is it okay not to declare it? I have more than enough fund to show from my bank certificate.

Insurance plans need not be shown under liabilities.

And Vancouver is damn expensive - all the ultra-rich Indians live there is what I hear (among others of course)

Vancouver is also very beautiful, but doesn't have much job unfortunately

Rest my agent mikeypm can add 8)

Just one addition: Weatherwise, Vancouver is gloomy and rainy most of the time although it is warmer than rest of Canada. I personally prefer cold and sunny to warm and gloomy.

I'm delighted to report that i received the much awaited PER email yesterday !!! :D :D :D
App received on 21st May. Payment Charged on 2nd Sept. PER received on 9th Sept.

Spreadsheet already updated !!

Few things for fellow applicants :-

1.) I provided simple bank balance certificate (No statement), photocopy of PPF passbook, A FD in name of my Spouse as POF.
2.) I did not provide BC for myself and my wife. I sent copies of SSC marksheet for both of us with an affidavit from parents stating the reason why we dont have BC.
3.) I provided reference letters from only 3 out of my 5 employers till date. each letter had no more than 5 Job descriptions. matching close to 50-60% with my NOC Code. Current employer did not mentioned no of working hours, instead wrote "Full Time" on the letter.

Sincere thanks to Century/Ashif/GUR2010 and all other forum members for your extended support !!

Congrats Murphy.

+1 to you for updating SS.

Hi grooby,

+1 on your help around here.

On your below point, of course CIC will be working until early 2016 on some of these cases, especially the ones who file in let's say March/ April 2015. Late in will definitely be late out, considering CIC's focus by then will then shift more on Express Entry, and how to make that work well.

Look at some of the FSW2013 guys that are still waiting for their process to complete. I hope you realize these are the late guys from 2013, as the early ones already left for Canada around April/ May onwards this year. So what I am trying to say is it all boils down to how timely one applies as CIC works with 'limited' budgets / resources at its disposal. I am quite sure people who will apply post 2014 in the current FSW will probably get stretched until 2016.

I kinda agree with you .... but I'm still hoping that CIC will pick up speed ... just cant wait to get over this 15th June hump....
