Congrats harry911 ! If you have already sent PCC, you wont be asked again.

In my case, they have requested PCC, RPRF and bio page of passport and NOT MR.

Have any one from FSWP 2014 batch got request like this (without MR)?

In the cover letter they have asked for only medicals and the fee. Will they ask for PCC or other docs at a later stage?

i Agree with you..i filled up my entire application package and was ready to send it around 10th May. And out of the blue i got an email from my CC company that a new card with security CHIP feature has been dispatched to your addresse . Although i still ended up paying with CC (Cash Crunch) but still it would be a lot better if use DD or may be atleast confirm with your CC company about there intentions of sending a new one or introducing some new security feature in near future.

+1 for actively following up on getting a 6 months validity DD made, despite the hurdles

I can never understand people from India using a CC knowing very well how RBI / bank issues a new one out of the blue....hard to relate how people can easily risk their many months of effort on someone else's decision of changing their CC. Once the right DD is used there is almost no risk whatsoever.

ICICI, HDFC, Axis bank - any of these can provide this DD so check where the stock is available and take a friend / relative with you there who has an account in that particular bank. Normally if a bank in a city doesn't have it then most of its branches (in that city) won't have it as they source supply from one branch to another in times of need. Try at another bank. Good luck!

Question with regards to IELTS:

A friend is scheduled for IELTS on 20th September however due to some exigencies, he has to travel outside his home city and will come back only on 20th Morning.

His speaking test is scheduled 2 days earlier than the actual test date. Since he has to travel, he will not be able to give the speaking test on 18th. Have spoken to IDP authorities for this but they say that only the examiner on the final day of the test can take the decision.

Do any of the members here have any such experience? what should be the best course of action in such case?

Request urgent help from the members.

Agree with you. The applications for May are very high. May be as much as 60% of the apps received so far.

Neither 1112 nor 2174 is going to touch 15th June...

Hi,

I want to claim 5 points for my relationship in Toronto. My sister stays there. Please advise what I need to share under following heads:

1. Her PR card for her Canada Status
2. Her Credit Card Statements for Address proof.
3. Her Passport for Relationship . She doesnt have Birth Certificate and Xth marksheet doesnt include mother fathers name. Please let me know if these are sufficient.

Me too had the same situation last year as I had to travel on the day of my speaking test. I called IDP and they told me to appear in the main test (read/write/listen) on the scheduled day and report the same to the examiner present there. I did it and the examiner confirmed that a new speaking day shall be fixed. Shortly after that, I received their confirmation on the new date and I attended it.

I would dearly like to believe that CIC is averaging 100 applications per day as I am a 13th June applicant and there are around 383 applications (from SS) between 26th May and 12th June .. However, past performance (of last 4 months) of CIC is much lower than 100 apps a day... As per our SS, there are around 988 applications between 01st and 23rd May, which roughly represents a total of 3300 applications (30% of market share) which have been "processed" over 100+ days... An average of 33 apps/day.

Any idea, why CIC was so slow in the beginning...?? Or is it the "real" rate of processing? If they continue with past rate I assume the SS charge estimates to hold good, that is, around 40 more days for my turn to come .

yeah man..don't wanna use the credit card as there can be multiple unforeseen issues.
of course, the risk is still low..lot of our guys have used it and been successful but I cannot take the chances.
We have a team here that does payment gateways integration into our website and we take care of debit/credit and netbanking integration..so i know exactly what kind of silly issues we can get into ;D

anyway..after roaming on the streets for half a day, finally hdfc guy told he'll give it to me tomorrow morning. I have to pay only using my hdfc check and fortunately I have an account in hdfc.

Hi all... i am also 7th may applicant waiting for MR from NDVO.... My question is if u get MR request does that mean ur background check is done and now only medicals are remaining ? Also someone said looks like all the family people are getting MR requestes and single people like me are still waiting.. pls share ur views
