How Shall I count my points for Work experience ?

Company 1 - Experience 23 months
Company 2 - Experience 19 months
Company 3 - Experience 10 months
Company 4 - Experience 6 months (ongoing)

If I just count them, it will be 4+ years. But I doubt if they count the experience of less than a year as well.

Please suggest.

Anyone aware what will be the merchant name shown in credit card statement once charged?
Some say it will show as "Citizenship & IMM FS".
We can give standing instruction to our banks on safe side.

Thanks for reply, I have already sent my package to CIC, but today during online payment I noticed, that if I am writing 4 instead of 04 the system is rejecting my payment)))

It's the way the form is designed. Not applicants' fault. If the application is declined due to this, I believe they have to deal with lots of lawsuits.

Looking at the list of people here, i think this time, 217*'s are wayyyy to hotter than 111*'s. the trend i think has changed or am i the only one dreaming here. ;D

You are right,, 217*** are almost double than 111* .. its the same trend which was expected...

With reference to one of your post
"WES just updated a horrible status!! They wrote Waiting for verification from institution in my status. How they will contact with the institution? If they contact via postal mail, it will take more than one month to reach the mail in Bangladesh from Canada. Please let me inform, how they may verified from institution? If they send by email, it will take less time than postal mail service."


I am applying FWS for 2014-15, I have similar status from WES atm...and sure, wot to do with.

I shall really appreciate, if you can enlight sumthg about it.
Do I have to contact University to ask them to provide verficiation for my Phd degree which is from UK, and I am rite now in India.

WES will contact your educational institute via email.

Once ur institute provide confirmation about your degree then WES will change the status.

If u can contact ur educational institute and try to accelerate the process via requesting the authority to reply to WES email asap

URGENT Attention Required!

Guys,

I sent my Courier Yesterday but I read in this thread only that for Birth Proof 10th Certificate wont do and we need to send the Municipal Birth Proof. (I am the Applicant's Spouse, my wife is main Applicant) We sent the Municipal Birth proof of my wife and my daughter but mine was nt trackable to sent the 10th Certificate. but today morning only I got the certificate and I have recalled my file from DHL, so that i can send my birth proof as well.

Now my questions:

1. Have I done it right by recalling my file back ?
2. I will be able to now send the courier only by 10th of May, what you guys think I will be in cap? NOC is 1112.

Combined experience is counted if for same NOC. If above exp is for same NOC, you should be good for over 4 years points. Good luck!

Both primary and spouse has to sent the birth certificates. Last time I have faced the similiar issue. When I have received the returned application, they have highlighted that need to send spouse birth certificate too.

Ya, Its for same NOC. While I was filling Schedule 3 form, it says less than 1 year, which I thought, may be, they dont count this.

Based on so many of the posts here, I believe the hot occupations again are going to be 1112 and 2174. It is hard to judge when the caps for these two occupations will fill up, but here are a few things to consider:

1) Last year,too, these two occupations had the highest number of applications and filled up the fastest. If I remember correctly, 1112 and 2174 filled up within a space of three and four weeks, respectively. The bottleneck for many applicants last year was getting their credentials evaluated by an ECA (CIC introduced the ECA requirement for the first time in 2013). Many did not know that one of the ECAs - WES - is capable of doing an evaluation within a week. So, they ended up sending to one of the other evaluation services and ended up getting delayed. This time around people are more experienced and many have credential evaluations from last year.

2) The biggest reason why people apply through FSWP is that FSWP is one of the few immigration programs that allows people to migrate without a valid job offer (it is next to impossible to get a job in Canada if you are applying from abroad - trust me I have tried!). SK accepted 250 applications for its provincial nomination program without a valid job offer from a SK employer on the 1st of January this year - it received 250 applications on the first day itself! For certain occupations, NS immigration also allowed applicants without a job offer to apply for provincial nomination this year. While it is not clear whether their cap of 150 nominations has been reached, based on the very high level of interest in the NS forum, I believe it may have very well filled its quota.

Moral of the story: Immigration to Canada is very highly competitive, especially for those very few programs that do not require a valid employment offer.

IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO FILE YOUR APPLICATION ASAP. BUT MAKE SURE, I REPEAT MAKE SURE, THAT YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCURATELY COMPLETED!
