I take it you are on H1B now - does one's H1B get affected now that you start your Canadian PR - I would hope it won't - any knowledge on this bro?
If we leave US and stay in Canada for PR, the employer would have the option to revoke the H1B or to kept it inactive , in the second scenario the remaining H1B period out of 6 years would still be left for future use as it is counted for the period in US soil. Even if the employer revokes one can still use it, though he/she has to find another employer to transfer the H1B and the person would not fall under the Fiscal new Quota and his remaining years on h1B would be left.
I guess it is a good backup for a lot of IT applicants, since there is a huge wage gap between US and Canada in the IT sector. Further for applicants who want to pursue working in US, TN1 visa is a good option but it is not a dual purpose visa like H1B and they can still use the H1B for a GC in US in case.
