I am also 16 May applicant but I sent my package by mistake to p.o.box
I don't know how ll they handle my package based on delivered date or based on when they collect it from their mail box

uh-oh! oh my! we had the same mistake ... just went back to "Mail your package guide" and i did send it to the PO Box!
Hope you get your update soon so I'll know that the PO Box applicants get processed the same time too.

Usually courier guys don't deliver to a P.O. Box. They just won't accept your package if the address is a P.O.Box. I am not sure how you were able to do that. In any case, both addresses are for CIC, and it reached the same country, state, city and office. So, don't worry, relax both of you.

If in any case, that call is legitimate and from the CIC local visa office... is that call part of there background checking and verification? Are they doing it randomly or there is something wrong with my documentation. :-\
It can be part of Employment verification. They never call PA for background check. Sometimes they do it randomly and sometimes if they find something questionable then at that that time they make a call.

Who else CIC might call to verify? Depends. If Manager issued you letter then they might call Manager for query they have; if Manager doesnt answer call then then they might call you, and clear that query with you.

I have arranged employment and there is no prioritising, I'm still waiting to here back from CIC

WES suggestion of 20 days is just an average, some cases take 20 and some longer

Hi All,

This is my first post and would like to thank all of you for all the help I got by just reading your posts.

My application package was received in Nova Scotia on 25th-August-2014 13:14 (NS, CA time), I'm just a bit worried that there was no signatory on the DHL tracking site ... the status is "Delivered - Signed for by " ... then nothing follows.

Has this happened to anyone before? Is there reason for me to be worried that there was no signatory?
