Hey guys..

I am currently in Hyderabad. Any applicants from Hyderabad who already submitted their application..can you suggest a good photo studio where I can get those required photos according to the specifications.
I tried telling the specs to a couple of photo studios here and they dont seem to get it right.
so if any of you guys can recommend a good photo studio..I thought it is better to go with that

Surprising that photo studios are not aware of the requirements.

The photo should be 45*35 MM, white background and face should occupy 80% of the photo height.

I have sent my application on Aug. 15 and I did not recognize that the some application forms are updated in August.
The changes are very small and do not affect my case.

Do you think the officer will return my application?

Hi,
Now a days every photo studios are aware about the specifications for different countries.
So don't worry, just carry the photo specifications print out which is sufficient.
Other wise you can visit inorbit mall if it is near to U.
In hyper city kodak express photo studio is there, they will provide you in less than 1 hr.

I guess I went to a junk photo studio..i told him about the requirements, but he looked a bit confused and didn't sound confident..and I just left
anyway..i got the response from other forum members..

[size=8pt] I thought of jotting down a few points on this topic. Good luck to all prospective immigrants!! :) :) :)

1- The question is not whether people are successful there - the real question is if 'I' or 'my family' will be successful there. A lot are successful!!!

2- I am sure even from within us a good 25 to 30% will pack their bags back in some time, though the actual percentage may vary. But a good percentage will be successful, and that is what really matters.

3- Hints of who will be successful - people that are already familiar with ways of the developed world, or people who have prepared themselves well for the upcoming move, or people that are ready to invest a lot in re-educating themselves, or simply people that are smarter and find solutions.

4- Who is coming back then - people who need hand holding in almost every thing on a day to day basis, or people who don't have much to give but are only there to ask all the time, or people who do not know where to find what info, or people who are constantly worried. The new culture will sense your insecurity soon and use it to their advantage.

Asking is okay though, it is foolish not to ask. But one should put effort themselves rather than look for short cuts. I'd say even making mistakes is ok, not a big deal if one made a mistake and let's say application returned - we always learn.

The essence of the post is for us to identify where we fit and understand what we can do to 'upgrade' self for this major transition in life. After all, we all want to make a success out of this, though not all will be able to. Ask yourself, have I invested properly to ready myself for this move!

Hopefully the post sounds with a balanced view but please do let me know if it sounds one-sided (can even PM me if this offends you LOL instead of whacking my a$$ in public), or if I may have forgotten to include something critical. Please research well there is ton of information out there - both readable and video. Plan to land as single (this is for some, if not for all) to make your initial struggle a bit easy on the pocket as well as on the mind. All the best in the next steps!! :) :-* ;D Let the good news for the day keep rolling!!!! :P

Oscar buddy, you really rock !!
+1 to you..

Hello everyone I am 13th May Applicant DD mode applying for the first time so no UCI no. Desperate to find out if my DD has been encashed. Can i plz have the cic email add so i can inquire about my status. My bank is no help so i am guessing if i write to CIC now at least ill get reply in 30 days. Also what do i have to mention in the email for inquiry as i don't have UCI No. Thanks in advance :'(

Why don't you go the the branch where DD was issued and ask them. They can immediately tell you by checking their systems.

I myself am a banker, so giving you tip. :) They will not tell you easily unless you pressurise them and make a issue of this. So pls make an issue of this in the branch.

Hi Guys...

Congrats to those who got PER....

I want to clear one doubt. My application was received by CIC on 3rd July 2014. I sent my spouse's birth certificate issued by Indian Consulate (UAE). Please note that she was born in Sharjah(UAE). Additionaly I sent SSC certificate which contains her full name (please note that her parents name is not mentioned seperatly).

I had conformed from Indian Consulate,UAE that BC is valid for PR application.

But my doubt is.....Will CIC accept her BC
??????

I have seen in one case, BC issued by Consulate being accepted though not able to find the reference. You can additionally send affidavit of BC to be attached - hopefully either will be accepted.

Good thing is that your NOC is not hot and very unlikely to be filled up.

What I suggest, send additional document with cover letter though no guarantee whether it will be added or not . After it reached by CIO, send e-mail at cio-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca . Hopefully within 40 days, they will respond whether your file has been attatched or not. Depend on this response, you have to take separate action plan.

Thanks. One question though
what if your passport issuing ofc and PCC aaplication office are different?
My passport issuing office is HYD and I applied for PCC from HYD .. may be that is the reason Physical police verification is waived off.. In your case, you may have to face Physical police verfication.. however, it wont take much long event though it passes through Physical police verification because Passport Seva Kendra have strict timelines to close the case within SLA

Re: More important that who goes to Canada is who will succeed, right?

Good post sir +1...followup question-- could you also write about ways of developed countries you mentioned for all of us going first time?
