Hello

I have send hdfc bank dd for "Bank of nova scotia"
but when inquired about dd encashed or not in bank. bank says we can't say about it?
How we can know that dd is encashed or not?

Though, I had taken DD from HDFC Bank ahmedabad branch, I requested information from Mumbai branch and I got the reply in just 2 days. I think you need to tell the either the branch manager or Dy. branch manager to send the scanned copy of the draft to their treasury department. You should get the reply.

Online ECAS is update only after charging.

Application received as per ECAS meant Application Received+completeness checking done+file been created+information from the application form was entered.

My judgement is that it's what CIC means by date of receipt.

Do they send email for NER as well ??
I am 9th may applicant of NOC 2133, how long should I wait for the PER mail...any guess ??

ECAS is also telling my Doc received on 7th May;

You are probably addressing the wrong person here. It was Rohan who had this IELTS issue, and since his TRF is expired, he will have to retake the test.

Hey sorry to hear this.This is really weird.

My IELTS score also expires in december first week and I am a july 10 applicant. It is likely that my application wont be opened before December mid ( as per spreadsheet). which means m gonna have several sleepless nights now till the final outcome is known in december.

Is there anything that I can do from my end to avoid rejection due to IELTS expiry. At the time of applying there were still five months left for IELTS expiry so I did not consider it prudent to give the exam again. I don't mind giving it again but will it be of any help any ?

All i can think of is that I can give it again mentioning that i am giving it a second time and mention my previous test details which get reflected on the new IELTS certificate. I guess the way to check it online is to enter Passport number and Date of birth. With these details they shall be able to see my new test scores which may or may not be exactly similar to last test..and dates ofcourse would be different but there might be some information about my previous test also ....What say experts ??? will it work ?

Called CIC 3 times and got lucky the 3rd time.

Reason for rejection is: Language Test Results had expired

My IELTS was due to expire on 25th of May 2014 and my application reached CIC on 9th of May 2014. Then where is the issue. The document checklist states:

Note: Language test results must not be older than two years on date of receipt at CIO.

WTF just happened?

Is there a way I can question CIC ? Sue them for harassment ?

PS - I have rechecked, my IELTS was due to expire on 25th May 2014 only

[size=9pt] It is skewed towards the higher side because earlier they used to take much longer, but lately most people get it in about 8 to 12 months. Again some special cases tend to extend the time (for their cases) and that too gets the # skewed towards the higher side.

Good to know, hopefully we all get it at least within 12 months of app recd date. But seems bit unrealistic as the way CIC working lately...

not sure about the Marriage affidavit , is it in the same vicinity as a Marriage certificate?

Thanks for the reply cjg1987. I have always used Marriage Affidavit everywhere so far, so I assume it should suffice.

A marriage certificate will be someone testifying that we are married, while an affidavit means we ourselves are testifying that we are married.

Relax,I think it will be ok(please read IMM EG 7000).I doubt they will accept new TRF(Even VO stage we cant forward new TRF otherwise they request)
