dear brother thank you so much for your interest..
My application was filed on 19th..and sent on 10th june ..During dat time we maintined around 14,738CAD..The requied was 14720 CAD..but suddenly the cad value increased and now it lacks around 300 CAD..but as all the amount was FD and intrest rates are mentioned on the receipt..will dat help?

Honestly I do not think this could lead to rejection. But a lot of 'ifs' are involved in me saying that because there are no facts that I can refer to unless somebody who has PER or PR in the past can vouch for this.

One thing is for sure that CIC will not calculate Interest rate (for the days between application and processing) and add it to your POF. Its a simple logic - CIC does not 'make' your case for you - they only process what you provide them with.

So it comes down to whether their guideline requires them to calculate CAD equivalent based on present or past rates.

Or the CIC will do it itself?

Better would be that you get Balance certificate from bank and get this line included "the value in CAD is ...".

You can't. If you had more settlement funds available, you should have listed them all and shown support for them all. It is needlessly risky to only show the exact amount required when you have more.

yes brother..now we realise our mistake..but the motive behind the decision was we wont be able to break the FD if the whole amount was mentioned in the certificate...nway no other way..plz do pray 4 us..

As we have all come to understand from Thoras - if you do not include Balance Certificate from your bank in CAD equivalent AND your POF is exactly or just about enough to meet your settlement funds requirement, then you are leaving your application at a probable risk of fluctuating FOREX rates.

The translation is not 'necessary' but its 'recommended'.

So if you declared more than required settlement funds for FSW, then does it become an obligation to carry all of that with you to Canada?
