I am having 2 years of experience but I m applying for NOC 0112 which is a manager level occupation, skill type 0. Can I apply for this NOC as somebody told me m falling short of experience. Though my job profile matches with what is specified for this NOC
You can apply . No issues!

Be mindful if 2 years of work experience is enough for you to meet the pass mark (67 points)

Also back up your work experience with supporting documents.

Thanks.

Hi Preeti, Experience is one of the criteria of six selection factors, for job experience the basic eligibility is as mentioned "at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experience".

As a whole you need to score 67 points to be eligible. Please go thru the link below

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

I know...but as I said..somebody said m falling short of exp for skill type 0 hence got confused...Bt thanx for imparting confidence...gonna apply soon!!!!

Dear Preeti, I'll explain why I said I don't think you fit in that NOC. Your current title is HR Executive which is typical of a person with 2 years of work experience in India. Even if you show yourself as a HR Manager (which will be falsifying anyways) it will definitely arouse suspicion because CIO or any one for that matter knows that to be a HR Manager it takes slightly more years of experience under the belt. You agree, right?

By now CIC is VERY familiar with how things work in India as Indians make up a good proportion of the FSW pool.

I believe you should have shared complete facts with forum members in the first place telling about your current title. Giving partial information to mislead folks will of course result in many saying that 1 year of experience is required in that role. They are not incorrect either! My point is, that role is quite senior than your current role so you clearly don't have 1 year in that position. Just merely because you do some of the roles of HR does not qualify you for NOC 0112. Trust that clarifies!

:( :(

If you need 2 years to make 67 points then you need to have the full 2 years by the time your application reaches CIC.

Well the answer depends on accumulated points( Education/IELTS/work experience/Age/Adaptability), which of course you can self assess after getting your IELTS results.

Once again NOTE THAT you can apply even if you have below 2 years of work experience(No matter which NOC). In this case you will receive only 9 points.

If 9 points + accumulated points gained through other factors sums up to 67 you can apply before September.

I wish you good luck my friend.
