Hi sagarsa...

You do get 21 points...

btw when did they promise to complete their report? I am also waiting for my report and as per their mail it should be completed by July 17. However my status is still showing "evaluation in process"

Same is the case with me. Mine was also scheduled to be completed on 17th. My application status changed last night. You should wait for a day or two, in case you dont get any update, you can follow up with them.

Starting on 9th May applications doesn't mean that they are done with 8th applications and especially for applications with DD it would take sometime to know the update. There were charges for 7th May applications after 8th May are charged and there was a charge for 7th May application even yesterday if I am not wrong. It's just that they may want an additional review or something...

I do not want to see so many feel bad with my update of CC charged...Please don't loose hope and patience is the key as everyone here say.
I too did not expect my CC charge yesterday and was hoping it would be done sometime next week...

All the best!!!

How many 9th May applicants have had CC charged?

As of yesterday only 1 (CC Charged) !

They will receive a text from their Bank for the Credit Card charge or for DD the applicants would have contacted their Bank. These are the only two ways to know that their payment is en-cashed.

Thank you very much sriramkb. I thought they got this information from a website.

Hey Ricky

No confirmation from Bank but since my ECAS have changed to in progress I am assuming DD has got charged .
am a 8 may applicant . Yet to recieve PER mail

Hi Manish,

I'm curious how did you get an ECAS login without the PER Email? Did you apply previously? (By ECAS Login, I am assuming https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do)

It usually works this way:

--> For new applicants, they have no other way to check the DD or CC charge other than from their bank.
--> For the applicants who had applied earlier years but got their file returned due to cap or other reasons, these people have a slight edge over the new applicants as they will have a UCI number assigned to them and they can check their status online in ECAS. ECAS does not exactly say if you have been billed but it says something like 'in process'.
--> However, if you don't hear about your DD or CC charge from your bank, you can wait for a month to see if you will receive a PER mail from CIC to your email. If you have this PER mail, then it is a positive news that you are almost through.

I dont think sending 2 separate applications with the SAME NOC is a good idea, it could make the 2 invalid. If you believe the mistakes are minors, then leave it, otherwise you might end up making your mistakes even worse.

Form the guide http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg77
"Do not submit documents that are not found on the checklist and do not send duplicates of your application or documentation."

Thank you for reply.
Now I am worried.

I edited my reply before you responded, as I noted US written in your previous response. Professional and police station together was kind of confusing though, but maybe one sits in there.

In the three years I have used this service with a company that does fingerprinting, background checks and forensic investigations (even for murders etc.) I have somewhat learned what a valid finger printing report looks like and what the do's and don'ts are for fingerprinting. Kind of befriended the guy and asked questions and he nicely explained it all. Otherwise it is not easy for 'an outside the field' person to tell by looking at the report whether it is done properly or not. And all these three years they needed to send only 1 card with their covering letter, and each year it was accepted. Just sharing my experience (not trying to get on your nerves). But I admit getting the fingerprinting done is quite a challenge for anyone doing it for the first or even the second time. These guys made me practice first on waste paper until I perfected it, and only then very carefully and under their watchful eyes I was able to make progress. So its not like a walk in the park, by any means!

Oscar is absolutely right. It's a very niche process and the guy from I got my fingerprinting done is the Ex-Crime Branch personnel. I paid INR 3,500.

Wow, congratulations :) Even I am surprised myself how accurate the earlier estimate appears to be: the predicted fee charging start date for May 9 applicants was yesterday :)

Surely it does not mean CIC will always continue their fee charging with the same speed, but I think I'll move the estimate to the spreadsheet - it appears to be too useful :)

Wohhoooooooo....... :o :o :o :o

Nice prediction buddy...:)

It means your app is not processed yet.. As soon as you get ur DD or CC charged.. then after 3 or 4 working days you can check status in your ECAS.. It will show in progress.. :)

If I was you, I would use the name on passport and submit my 10th certificate as my DOB discarding the my BC. but if you do so you need to mention that you are submitting your 10th certificate as proof of DOB.

or you can go and get your BC created with her correct name (as on your passport) and send that.
Is There no other way as changing birth certificate will take too much time and my no other document mentions my mothers name.
