A quick question....

I happen to send my application under skilled worker for NOC 2131 and DHL confirmed me just now saying that it was signed and received by Mike on July 3rd, but till now I did not receive any e-mail acknowledging the received application.

Does it usually takes time to send out even these mails....? Just out of curiosity!

CIC does not send any ack for rcving ur file...

They will send directly PER email....Which u can expect two months later....

Could I use FDs as a settlement?

HDFC has given me a bank certificate, with fd# and amount? Also I am furnishing bank statement, which shows fd interest credited to my savings account monthly.

Please advice.

Hi Everyone,

I am going to apply for Canada FSW under NOC 2171 Information systems analysts and consultants. I have 10+ years of experience in Information Technology. But I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate - B.E(Mechanical). When I checked the employment requirements for this 2171 NOC, it is mentioned as below:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.

I am confused/worried here if I am eligible for applying to this 2171 NOC. Though I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, I have my work 10+ years work experience in IT. Am I eligible to apply, If anyone can advice me it would be great. Thanks in advance!!

There is no instruction...

Dear Experts,

I sent my application on 19th June 2014 and it was received by CIC (as per fedex) on 25th June 2014. However, officially no news from them so far.

At that time, I sent updated form IMM 0008 Generic application form (July-2014 version) but now it seems they have again updated the form and it appears to be IMM 0008 Generic Application form (June-2014). Now what should I do? Do I need to send the form again or No need.

Secondly, when I filled the generic application form in dependent section by selecting Q10 as "Spouse", check Q11 to "Yes", and Q12 was becoming grayed and unable to be populated. Q 12 is basically dependent type but as I said it was becoming grayed and I was unable to select any thing so I left this question blank.
I am worried now is there any problem in this case, or nor problem.

Its not stated anywhere to have the job and Educational matching ....

As long as u have the relevant job exp u can apply...

But in this case ur job docs need to be strong -- that can be done by submitting below:

Work experience requirement:


1. Job duties on Company Letter head.
2. Full time /Working hour should be mentioned.
3. Company's seal if applicable

Additional:

5. Appointment/contract letter
6. Payslip (3 months will be enough)
7. Business card of applicant and referee (reference letter's).

Ya I made out the calculations as only may 7 and 8th applicants are being sent PER as of now. So I presume that mine should be somewhere around September first week. Anyways thank you for response.

Yes, certainly. Also recommend getting Bank Balance Certificate.

I had sent only 1 month statement with my application as the checklist does not specify how many months of statement required.
With MR email, visa office has requested 6 months of POF. So, I think 6 months is what they look for, but 1 month statement with initial application would not cause any problem in case you did not maintain enough balance in the past to show. Visa office will anyways ask for it at a later stage when you can send the updated 6 months POF. Good luck!

What typically HDFC, ICICI also does is if you take that online print out to them, they put their stamp on each page and sign & date it. That way authenticity increases in the eyes of CIC, and it is a good practice. Cheers!!

i have my settlement fund spread across 3 accounts, they have been in those accounts for a while now. but my questions is, is it ok to print out my monthly statement online and attach? will that be okay? i have the statements as at june 2014

Yes, you can. I too used that and HDFC gave me a Balance Certificate in the format I have shown on page 2128 (post # 31915). I too furnished a bank statement as I was also showing some money there, plus it also showed money transferred from saving a/c to FD a/c, so basically the trail.
