Do I stand any chance for NOC 2171 this year or should I forget about it? Would the cap have reached by the time my application is picked up for completion check?
My application reached CIC for NOC 2171 on July 03, 2014.

Hi bonesaw,

Sorry to hear the return of app....but in the first attempt did u send the job duties without the managers sign on a plain paper..? or where the job duties not enough..? what's the exact reason...

Regards
In the first attempt I've sent them 2 reference letters, job contracts, copies of my SIN-like document where all my jobs are listed, everything I could.
Well, first job had only 9 months. Second one exactly 1 year. I've worked for a 3rd company for way longer than those two, but the HR never helped with any document about them, so I felt like sending with what I had as evidence. They sent me a letter with the "work experience" text-marked, but no comments about it, so from what I can understand maybe it was not enough for them...
I was already waiting for it, so I wrote these 2 new letters about this company and asked the HR for phone numbers on which they can confirm the information, not my job duties, but that I work for them at least.

It's funny that I work since 2005 but can't really prove it if the HR won't help me out. I look like a newbie for CIC... :(

Hi All,

Can anyone please tell what does this means:

Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equalNote de bas de page 1 (at least one must be for a program of at least three years) - 22 points

If I have bachelors 3 years and Masters also 3 years.. will it be considered in this category?

Thanks

Hi,

From what I read, two questions strike my mind:

1.Did CIC return your package on the grounds of not having enough work experience or failing to provide evidence that you have performed substantial amount of duties outlined in the lead statement and/or main duties , compared against your NOC?

There are different implications here. In the first case , if you don't have enough work experience to claim points to meet the pass mark 67 , your application has been returned in this case.

On the other hand , if you have not performed aligned duties you do not meet minimum eligibility criteria.

I would request you to look in to this matter more carefully. I don't think being a newbie is cause of concern for CIC, in fact their minimum requirement is only 1 year of continuos full time experience. So Newbies are also welcome.

I'm afraid if duties were the reason of refusal then you sending a letter again without duties/responsibilities will not serve the purpose.

Check again before sending the second package.

Thanks. All the best.

Hey Mssb,

When was your file received? According to SS your file was received on 8th May, 2014 and you are paying by DD and if I am not wrong you say that your fee has been en cashed on 24-06-2014...

Is that really true... :-X :-X :-X :-X

No one of 8th May claimed the fee en cashed until yesterday and that also CC not DD but your entry is strange. When did you come to know about DD en cashed?

If your data is true then that means CIC started on 8th May long way back than yesterday.

Regards
Amar

I've seen another case where a guy had his application returned because the reference letters were not matching the NOC. His letter was completely different from mine.

If I hadn't reached the minimum points, they would've told me, but in this case, they've text-marked the missing form on the checklist (5406 - principal applicant + your spouse) and put a post-it to call my
attention to it. I also received a letter (Appendix C) with a checklist of that appendix and with the spouse's form 5406 marked as missing.

Then there's this other letter, which is kinda generic, with the Work Experience text-marked, saying I need to match the requirements of 1 year experience. They did not text-mark that on the main checklist, only there. After I received my application back, I wrote my own job duties reference letter and asked my manager to sign it. Also wrote a letter stating the reasons why I did that and couldn't give them what they need like they need due to company policy. Can't do anything other than that to prove it.

The attempt #2 has been dispatched already... :)
Thanks for the advice.

I contacted with British council for extra copy of IELTS result, but they are saying that they will not provide me additional copy. They can send it directly to an institution if required. But I am planning to submit 2 applications for different NOC's....and for that I will need 2 original IELTS reports for each application....? What should I do in this case? Please help....

Hi, friends.

Finally, WES status has been changed from "Document Received, Review In Progress" to "Evaluation in Progress" today.

Then from this point, how long did it take to get the report to your hand?

In my knowledge you can notarized copy of ielts and include it in application. You need to mention in letter that original copy is sent with another application and this is my second application with different noc
