I mean , as you know Dentists are nor found on the 50 occupation of FSW 2014 , I'm applying in another NOC which I 3 years of experience in ... will I still get 23 points for education no matter which NOC I'm applying to ? I just wanted to make sure ..

I have received my PER on 13.09.2013. Nothing happened more till now. It means no MR.

Now we got divorced with my husband (I am a main applicant). My ex-husband had no point contribution in my application.
But I stayed alone with 3 children...
I am so afraid now that this fact can negatively influence my application and visa officer may refuse it... It is about economical stabilization in Canada?

What do you all think about it? It costed me so much efforts to complit my app...;(((

I'm sorry for your circumstance.
Since you are the principal applicant,you won't be affected much.
You will need to update your status as divorced with your local visa office and present your divorce certificate.
The form showing the really of your children will also be signed by your e spouse too.

hi friends,

first of all congratulations to all whose CC has been charged or bank draft has been encashed.....

there are many people ( including me) who are stuck with their application forms or IELTS or something else and may require some more time before submitting their application to CIC, hence i would like to ask the members of the forum a simple yet very important question ....

till when can we go ahead and mail our application to CIC ?

I have just gone through the list of positive applications to CIC as on date which states 491 only, in numbers its very less but when i see the spreadsheet (the entries made by fellow members) which shows that CIC is stuck with May 7-8 applications till date which means 70 positive applications per day have been made to CIC. in short if i take the average positive applications and multiply by the number of days it has opened .... which is ..... 70 X 60 = 4200 positive applications which in short means there is no point in submitting or rather sending any more application to CIC.

i dont want to be a spoil sport or be rude or be negative to anyone in our forum but would like the members to point out till when we can send in our application and hope to be in a safe zone ...

i am also in the same boat as many of our friends are and dont want any one to be disheartened .... our valuable forum members valuable comment on the same could be very useful who have analysed the past trends and can predict or give us the hint about this years safe zone dead line.

I do not want he destroyed my app to Canada as well... I'm waiting for finalizing of my divorce papers in my country. He already divorced me in Islamic Court.

Pls if someone can help me on this matter...what to do in this situation...

First of all, let me tell you that what you are going through is going to be for your best. God will be beside you, I am sure.

With regards to your FSW application, all what you need to do are the following:

1. Update your VO with your new marital status once you have the complete papers.

2. You need to negotiate with your X to keep the children in the immigration application. You can't issue PR for them without his concent. It happened to my colleague.

3. In case the proof of the settlement funds is under the name of your X, you need to secure a new proof of funds document.

Otherwise, there is nothing els you need to worry about. You don't have to be working or financially stable (other than the possession of the settlement funds) for your application to be further processed.

The Settlement Funds you have shown at the time of Applying .. is it entirely from your a/c ? & Do you still maintain it as-is ?
If 'Yes', then you need not worry at all .. VO will Not be concerned for your economic stabilization in Canada beyond your Settlement Funds. Rest depends on which VO you have selected for further processing.

This is interesting, CC has been charged on Jul 1st i.e. Canada Day, a public holiday in Canada.

This may be due to different time zone issues......july 1 in think_positive's time zone may be july 2 or june 30 in canada.

As soon as your divorced papers are ready......speedily inform your local visa office for them to be notified.
Your processing will surely be delayed but I'm optimistic that it won't be denied because you are the principal applicant.

What makes u think that CIC/ Local VO guys are finance related and u will be subject to "racial" discrimination. Yes, ur experience letters may be subject to higher scrutiny to confirm your claim but will certainly not result in rejection. Both of ur companies are reputable, which will add lot of weight.

However, u should explain this apparent discrepancy in ur cover letter. Additionally, provide proof of any short courses, certifications, or charter (such as CFA) related to finance, if u have any. If u have applied and not provided such docs, don't worry. Provide these when VO asks for PCC/medical. Btw, such career switches are pretty common in western world (at least in US, timing of ur post tells me that probably ur in US so u know better than me). Microsoft has guys with degree in Music as software developers, which reminds me that its founder doesn't even have a degree. 8)

As far as degree mentioned in NOC is concerned, its for classification of Canadian employees for statistical data and policy making, not relevant to FSW.

P.S: Apply with confidence and continue shinning. However, u may have to expedite the process (if u have not already applied) as 1112 is second most in demand NOC.

Also my CC was charged on 17th June.. my ECAS status shows "In Process". however i do not have any finance related certifications or degree but i did study about the finance subject and got the oppertunity to work in this field through the companies i mentioned earlier. what do u think of my case now???

It is immeterial whether you got financial related degree; only experience count. Shah cleared it. You are 100% fine.

I think your education points are for the degree level you have ( BS/MS/PhD). You should get 23 points. While the points you get for work experience come from the work experience you have in the NOC category you are applying for. So there you will get points only for 3 yrs.
