My reasoning was this .. In India 9th & 10th can be termed as high/secondary school while 11th & 12th will be senior secondary.
Hence makes sense to have 4 yrs of secondary and others primary as we do not have any other option b/w primary and secondary.

There is all sort of info in Wikipedia. Like another page says...

Primary/secondary education in India is segregated as Primary (1st standard to 7th standard), Lower Secondary (8th standard to 10th standard), and Higher Secondary (11th and 12th standard).

I have always been known it as...

Primary : 1-5
Middle. : 6-8
Secondary : 9-10
Senior Secondary : 11-12

But Wikipedia, and some others in the forum have said..

Write anything, I personally don't think it matters much. Highest degree evaluated (ECA) is what matters.

Just an info for all those who plan to send your applications now from India. If you plan to use DHL, please be aware that they do not have direct service to deliver in Nova Scotia. You will
not have priority delivery option.

Even if you wish to track online for days together you will get to see "forwarded to delivery" after it reaches Ontario.

If you don't want to get anxious like me even after many follow ups without knowing where your package is do proper research on the courier services available. :-\ :-\ :-\

This thread is so busy! So good luck to me if this query gets noticed...

I just please need an opinion about proof of funds / settlement funds.

I read from one of the posts here that the amount declared in your balance certificate upon submission to CIC should be maintained. I need to ask, what if the money (while waiting) had been significantly reduced because of emergency expenses? When VO finally requests for your proof of settlement funds (assuming I received a PER) and I was for some reason able to borrow some money and show the same amount at this time, will there be doubts from the VO office that this money had been borrowed? What is the impact of this in the VO procesing?

Kindly let me know roughly how long do you process papers with the VO after PER (i know this depends on the VO) but estimate please? and when is the time for you to provide the proof of settlement funds?

Hi,

As long as you can justify your actions, it should be fine. Although those funds are meant as settlement funds, but a person can have real emergency and need to use them. Emergency first, PR second.

So, don't worry. CIC will not be that naive to negatively impact your case, as long as you are able to maintain the stipulated requirements (like refilling the account in this case).

CIC can ask for last 6 months or only last month bank statements.
one of my frnds was asked to submit only last month stmts. and it's random..perhaps depends your profile, application, noc or luck or may be on officer.

when was ur friend asked to submit the bank statement...from the VO after the file was transferred to VO or during the initial PER giving process...?

I'm sorry to repeat my question that I've just asked yesterday , but it seems that there are more Experts online today , their opinion will be very helpful for me I'm sure .. anyway, here is my question :


I'm planning to apply in NOC 3215 " Medical radiation technologists " , I have 3 years work experience ( my job title was x-ray machine operator , I operated CT and computerized tomography scanners , and also Panoramic X-ray ) ..

My only problem is that , this work experience was in a Dental Clinic (I'm a dentist now, but those 3 years work experience was before I become a dentist ) .

Anyway,on the HRSDC website Classification page ,here :

Above noc 3215 its written : " 321 Medical technologists and technicians (except dental health) " , what does it Mean by Except Dental Health ! .. am I eligible to apply under this noc or not ?

I mean, I done most ( if not all ) of the job duties listed under NOC 3215, the only problem like I said that it was in a Big Dental Center here in my country .. will this be a problem ? or does that makes my job classification not NOC 3215

will this make the officer refuse my experience certificate ? or all what matter is the job duties whether its in a dental clinic or other clinics ?

I can post some of the job duties written in my experience Certificate if you wish ( I tried to make them general duties not just related to dental health , for example I mentioned that take Xrays for the Head and Neck region for detection of any tumors ..etc " ..

Please, give me any advice ..

The problem lies not just in the type of institute (dental), but in that the X-rays and the other main job duties (of NOC 3215) that you did were on dental health (teeth etc), rather than other body parts.

The dental health technical assistance services are separately categorized (322X), so the moment they see 'dental clinic' in your experience certificate, it might raise an alarm.

I guess it is early to feel anxious. Start to worry when you see 1112s from 8th may get their PERs without anything happens to your case. Upon that time, you can send an inquiry to the CIO to get an end to your worry.

UPS has direct delivery option to Sydney, NS.

1. Yes, I believe so. CIC just says, you and all' your family members over the age of 18 need a PCC.

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.

The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.
