I got an ECA report for my wife. She has done a 1 year diploma in HR after her bachelors in arts of 3 years.
The report says the following:

canadian equivalency summary: bachelors 3 years

Credential 1: bachelors Degree (3 years)

Credential 2: completion of a second undergraduate major

So do we claim 21 or 22 points for education?
22points

DD takes a little longer to clear than CC, especially if it was drafted in a foreign (i.e. not Canadian) bank. I think you should give it some two more weeks, since applications received on May 7th are still being processed.

I used HSBC here in the Philippines and it is addressed to HSBC Canada. If that's the case, might as well anticipate for PER, thanks

@ A_S relax dude.. The guy who said that he got MR request didnt mention anything about FBI clearance. There could be a case that he was anticipating FSW2014 would open this may and he might have applied for FBI clearance well in advance. :D

Bro I hope you are right. I do not want to invalidate somebody's claim in this forum, but what I was told was wrong and it could mislead lot of forum members who are applying for the FBI approval from U.S.
I was all set to send out the form , but luckily called them up and they also directed me to the FBI number and told me it is illegal in this country to get it from the channelers if one is not a GC or a citizen. It is also mentioned in the FAQ section, but i chose not to read it before.
My intention is just to update in this forum about my experience so that people are aware of it.

Good luck !!

Good Luck for your process.

I was a little concerned since somebody applying from US had already received their MR and it is almost impossible to get the FBI clearance within a few days, I was told that there are some FBI channelers which could expedite the whole process.
However I checked with them today and everybody had the same message that
//////////If you are NOT a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident, or if your request is for EMPLOYMENT/LICENSING, you must submit your order directly to FBI//////////////////
Everyone applying for PER is definitely not a citizen or a permeant resident in US and it is illegal to get a FBI clearance from them.

Request all members to not give any misleading informations unless they are confident about it.

you're right..it took 5-6 weeks in 2013 (normally its valid for 1 year)

bluemav (thanks bluemav!) posted this on the Filipino thread, there is an updated form here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

It states there July 2014. Does this mean that anyone sending their application July 1, 2014 onwards should use this form or starting today onwards? But it is just June 16, 2014.

Seniors, I hope you can enlighten me, a friend of mine is sending hers next week, I need to inform her if she does need to change the Generic Form to this updated one. Thanks!

Hi PPmom,

I think she should use the July 2014 form since she has the time to do so.

In my case, I submitted it this morning only to find out that the form has been changed today! But anyhow, I have high hopes since the caption is 'July 2014'. It means they are giving time to inform the soon-to-be-applicants.

I am no expert, this is just my opinion.

hi friends, need an answer,
the more you read forum queries, the more you sink in doubts....

I am NOC 4011 applicant, y application reached 28th may 2014.

I havent submitted my husband's birth certificate as it was lost and i couldnt wait to apply....his domicile certificate, CNIC copy, Passport all have been attached.
and my two son's birth certs are also in Urdu( non-english) but their another form called Form -B has same information as birth cert. in english.

DO u think my APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED DUE TO THAT?
EXXPERT COMMENTS NEEDED.

Sorry buddy, my fault.. Even I thought I can get it from the channelers quickly. I'm also on US work visa so it will not be applicable.. Only applicable to citizens and Green card holders.
Thanks for correcting me. Good luck!

As far as I know, your application will be stuck in the completion verification phase until your check clears, and PER is issued only in the phase following that, so you will still receive your PER after the DD is cleared, and weeks after the May 7th applications with CC have receiverd their PERs. So be patient and don't panic when you see May 7th candidates informing their PER here in the forum, it does NOT mean your application was rejected or you missed the cap or anything. Just give it more time and you will get there ;-)

Hi Folks, If I am submitting application this week. Should I use new General form or the old one ? New one is dated July2014 but doesn't print from my computer and the option is greyed out . Please advise .

i agree with your first statement.....too much information here but mostly important ones. :)
in my opinion,
it should not be rejected. they might ask you to submit if they need.
but its better to keep translated one with public notarized ready.
