I have a question:

My friend has 8 months of paid internship, and now he is working in same company from past 5 months. Can he apply under FSW?
The reason I am asking this is because under minimum requirement on this page "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp" says that

Your work experience must be:
•at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
•paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
•in the same occupation, and
•within the last 10 years,
•at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)

So Indirectly does it mean that Paid internship can be taken into consideration ??

In my guess He can be...But the thing is that ...he have to complete a year first....

Hi everyone,

I have couple of questions:
1. I have relatives in Canada and I want that my docs will sent to them in case of any problems, because it is much faster, what should I do?
2. My son has a mistake in his travel documents (the sex is F), but at the same time he has a valid Canadian visitor's visa in it. So, do I need to explain this situation to CIC, do nothing or not to mention his travel passport in the form.
3. I have a feeling that paying with the CC may be not a good idea, and I asked my father-in-law to make a money order for me. Is this a good idea? Can I make one money order for all members of the family?

1. Its up to u...But in my guess courier time 6-7 days should not affect u..coz it may require any changes of ur doc until the last sec of submission...
2. Yes u can include a cover letter with his PP.
3. He can send....DD is more reliable...ur name will not be included there...

I would like to know more about "Reference letters". I have only the offer letters and relieving letters from my previous employers. Other than that two of the companies I've worked for had given me service certificates indicating the role and the duration I worked there. Can you guys explain me whether this will do for the FSW application ? I'm bit worried that didn't have any reference letter sort of things...

I have the required number of hours and it is paid work experience. I'm positive that my work experience post graduation counts. I'm just unsure of my work experience gained in May 2013.

Your no. of working hours matter dear. Pl check whether you have 30hr per week exp. Then yes, part time is acceptable. But not as an internship.
post grd. is not a work exp.

Goku - since you have applied under CEC, I'd say you should not have any issues with your canadian work experience.

"Reference letters in the required format are necessary, please try your best to get them. If after all efforts you are unable to obtain a work reference letter, then you should provide a solemn declaration / affidavit explaining in detail why are you unable to do so. The officers at the VO are aware of the fact that different employers have different policies towards issuing such adhoc letters and may not cooperate in issuing such a letter. Please do attach all your employment records with the declaration. I was unable to obtain a work reference letter from one of my employers and did the same. However please bear in mind that the final decision rests with the visa officer handling your case."

as i understood, from the documents checklist http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.pdf if one cannot obtain (for any reason) a reference letter as described, that is with all the necessary info, you can submit a copy of your work contract and pay stub - and it will cover the main things that prove your work background
