That is the correct one.I have seen many people make the mistake of choosing the first address but because they don't get penalised or their application doesn't get rejected on the basis of that mistake others have taken it to be the correct one.

There are three (3) categories:

1. NOC category 1 - is for those who have this work experience in one of the 50 eligible occupations (The category in which most of the people on this thread belong)

2.Category 2 - You have a valid offer of arranged employment

3.Category 3 - You are an international student who is enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet these criteria.

Century said:
Mate, your idea is correct. But Guide 7000 clearly specify to write either "NOC Category", or "Offer of Arranged Employment category" or "PhD category".

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/eg7toc.asp#results

Or by courier for all categories:

Note: On your envelope, specify the category under which you are applying.

(Your Address)

Citizenship and Immigration Canada

NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX

Dear Solomon brother,

Along with Century, I am also quoting three things:

##################################################

"Regular mail:

Applicants applying under Category 1 and Category 2 (NOC Category or Offer of Arranged Employment Category):"

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category or Arranged Employment Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
Centralized Intake Office
PO BOX 7500
Sydney, NS
B1P 0A9
Canada

#################################################

"Applicants applying under Category 3 (PhD Category):"

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
PhD Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
Centralized Intake Office
PO BOX 8300
Sydney, NS
B1P 0B6
Canada

#####################################################

Or by courier for all categories:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

So basically Guide indicates the category type (1,2,3) to assist /choose the right address format.

Not to indicate on the address (as per provided format).

So it should be " NOC CATEGORY" only.

I hope this will also help to clear the confusion....

Dear Century pls have a look above. Through regular mail Category 1 (NOC Category), Category 2 (Arranged Employement), Category 3 (Phd Category). And now for the courier part it indicates NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category. so would that be wise to mention specific category. only the address part remains changed for courier
It shows you are very meticulous....

I have seen people misled but because they don't get penalised,so many people think not specifying the particular category is correct.

It is advisable to put the correct category for sorting.

There are 3 categories and specifying the particular categories you are applying under help in sorting. Perhaps the reason why some applications have not been receiving treatment is the fact that applications have to be opened first and the category determined before they are eventually treated. This will definitely slow down the process and probably give an edge to the applicant whose application specifies the category of his/her application.

Hi All,

I have all the documents ready with me except for WES.

Got mail from WES that my application is in evaluation and expected date of completion is 14th July 2014.
ECA report: WES received docs on 5-Jun
Evaluation in progress on 14-Jun
Expected completion - 14-Jul

Following are my queries :-
Q1 - Can i submit my application without WES as it will be directly sent by WES to CIC ???
Q2 - How early can i expect my documents to reach me, keeping in mind WES expected completion date 14th July ???
Based on my experiwnce, expected completion of my wes report is july 2 bt i got it ladt june10.

Thanks Ashif_eee. But you missed two points.

I forgot to send the appointment letters. I did not send them. However, I do have everything with me containing the salary information.

Secondly, for all the reference letters, my roles and responsibilities match for NOC 2174. But for the 2nd company, I mentioned 2173 instead of 2174 in the Schedule 3 - Economic Classes form. This was because, my designation in that company was Software Engineer. Is this a problem? Will CIC still count the experience for this?

Please comment. Also, when can I expect my PER?

You are reading this upside down.

The reason for the address for ALL categories is for courier. It still doesn't say you should not specify your category.

Different people/department will be responsible for different categories and it is always advisable to specify the category of your application for ease of retrieval and treatment.

Its a very bad practice that CIC does not send any rejection email to the applicants ...(I have not heard anybody for earlier year).

They just return back the application package with a cover letter stating the reason for returning / rejection.
