Hi,

I am planning to apply for FSW this year and I have a query regarding the NOC to apply under. I am working in Purchasing domain for the past 7 Years. As I can see in the below threads and the announcement at CIC website, there are 50 major NOC's under which we can apply for PR application. My current designation is Buyer(NOC 1225) in organisation. Can i apply under Purchasing Manager(NOC 0113)?

Regarding the Roles & Responsibility, I am doing the roles as required for Purchasing Manager category. However, it is not explicitly mentioned in the documents in my experience letters as companies only provides the relieving letters which reflects the tenure of employment and the designation. So, should I apply under NOC 1225 or 0113? I am little confused about the CIC announcement for 50 Major trades, does it mean that people falling in these trades can only apply or this is just a major category under which there are various sub category in which an applicant can apply?

Appreciate the response and feedback.

Regards,

Amit

Admins are thinking how to ensure that blocked person may not be able to post from any other network as well.

Hi Seniors!!

Just a small doubt. It might help future aspirants too.
In my application package, i have stapled documents as logical units including the forms. e.g. all pages + extra info sheets of a form stapled together, work exp docs stapled together and so on.
I hope it is OK. Need your expert inputs.

Thanks!!

According CIC, one year is at least (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,

Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Well that opens up a whole lot of other questions ???. 2 of my employers have mention in the reference letter that I have been working 45 hours per week fulltime. But my last employer has mentioned I have been working 'fulltime' since XX-XX-2010 until XX-XX-2013. They have not mentioned the 'hours' of work per week.

Is there a chance of any discrepancy here ?

CIC recommends all the docs remained unbound and forbids using staple. It is not OK specially for forms. They have to unstaple the form again. However, for this, no file will be rejected.

If you have already sent it to CIC - forget about it. If you have not sent it yet - You need take those staples off. Use binder clips for the thick bunch (employment contracts etc) and use paper clips for thin bunch. NO STAPLES.

Hi Guys

I have made one small error in the package that I sent ,my wife's father name is mentioned as "Ibrahim kutty" in her passport ,secondary school certificate, and birth certificate unavailability affidavit. Today I noticed in our marriage certificate her father's name mentioned as "S.R. Ibrahim" and the later is his actual name but the address mentioned on it is the same as that of passport. Rest of all other documents are correct , Is it going to be rejeceted? guys I am screwed up and finger crossed .NOC 2173: app rec date : 5/7/2014 9:45 am.

You can't apply for 1225 since it is not on the list of 50 occupations. Go for 0113, designation is not a problem at all. If your duties and responsibilities match then it should be fine.

Dear Experts,

One of my colleagues completed MBA majoring in Marketing. After that he completed one post graduate degree and one professional degree in HR. Now he is working in HR department for last 7 years and would like to apply in HR NOC.

Should he complete ECA for MBA (Marketing) or both MBA (Marketing) & other two degree (in HR) as well to get point in Education?

2 Quick question, I sent my App in 2013 returned due to CAP. Return app had a UCI number, which I did not put in my fresh app, sent in 2014:

1. Not mentioning my UCI number shouldn't be a problem should it?
2. I am unable to track any status of my app using the old UCI number (not put on fresh app). Am I likely to get a new UCI?

Thanks

Don't worry...this is going to be fine since 90% of your supporting documents are the same thing......unless the marriage certificate.
It may even be termed as one of the reason why the affidavit was included.
Just relax....if you get everything right with the rest of your application....you won't be denied or rejected because of your in-law's mistake in name.
Cheers.
