Hi all!

May i ask how if any of you here made some explanations regarding certain documents that you were not able to submit? If any one did, how did you state it in your letter?..the usual thing would probably be birth certificates that were somehow mutilated or got burned during certain years...
Also, if your company cannot give you your compensation report or anything you needed to include in your applications..
does it have to be certified by a qualified person? ex lawyer?

You sent the application on 28th or it was recieved by CIC on 28th, if later is true ur application will be considered

This forum offers a really great opportunity to connect will all the FSW 2014 applicants and I would request you to kindly provide some guidance in my case

Currently I am working in the domain of Mechanical engineering in a an Aerospace company. I had applied in the category of Aerospace engineering on April 28th 2014 as the cap was still not filled for Aerospace engineers and I was hopeful. But on May 1 2014 unfortunately the category of Aerospace engineer was deleted from the skilled occupation list and I was hoping that I will recieve my packet by May end so that I can reapply as a Mechanical engineer. But I have still not got the packet yet. I know for sure that they wont consider my application in Aerospace engineer as its no more in the list. Wat should I do ? Should I send a new application under Mechanical Engineer? In my case my job duties falls both in the categories of Mechanical and Aerospace engineer as provided by the Canadian immigration.

I really dont want to miss this opportunity.

Hello Seniors

My convocation certificate from the university has 2 languages on it. It is printed in hindi and the same has been translated in english at the bottom of the page. Below the english translation there is signature of registrar.

So do I need to get this document notarized. The translation is already given by the university people. There is no need to get it translated from outside.

Please advice. M really worried because my application will reach CIO tomorrow on 9th june monday.

Hello - I have a question around additional family information. Since my spouse (dependent) is also supposed to fill out that form, should he write his name as the applicant and then my name as the spouse?

Also, for bacground declaration, the form says no gaps for personal history section - i was unemployed for a year in between jobs. So that will be a gap. should I explain it somewhere?

I am submitting Income Tax Return and Wealth statement since last 6 years and so. Can I use these document as an additional proof ? along with the letters from bank ?

Furthermore, shall I use Credit Card for payment or demand draft/pat order ? My CC will expire in 3/15 ??

and u can use ur CC but make sure that u have bank authorization for paying International payment in USD/CAD.

1.form 1 for you...........you will be applicant while your spouse will be spouse.
Form 2 for your spouse(your request)...........your spouse will be applicant while you will be the spouse.

2.you don't need to explain it anywhere......just write the duration of the cap with the appropriate date......write "Unemployed" as the corresponding activity related to it........that's all they need.

is it safe to quit job and being jobless for 1 or 2 years?
my situation is that i left my born country about 20 years ago. my dad is really old and frail. i want to stay near him before going to Canada.
i really had a bad memory when my mum died 3 years ago, i could not say a final word to her.

It is because that most of the applicants sent their applications on May 1st. As we all know, it usually takes 5 working days before the package will arrive at the CIO. That's why, bulk of the applications arrive on the 7th of May

FSWP is based on prior experience, not on your current or future employment. You may quit your job now or anytime in future. It will not impact your eligibility for your PR. You need to make sure you have the required bank balance per CIC guidelines before you get your PR. Also, you need to live in Canada for a total of 3 years (out of 5) after you receive your PR so as to renew your PR later. Good luck!
