Yes, my wife got a second copy of IELTS's TRF from British Council two weeks ago. Why are they treating you like that?
They issue a new one only if your current one is lost. I contracted manchester university which was my ielts centre and they replied by saying that. I believe in that case previous one will be cancelled

Thanks Century Bhai, for your advice. It will be great if they rectify it on their own or even if they process it in New York. I just hope it does not get rejected on this error. If so, then I was wondering if there was a way to correct it.
Bro, I did the same mistake by mentioning visa office as New York. Last year when I had filed for FSW 2013, my packet was returned due to quota getting over, however the visa officer checked my application form and had ticked the important informations with a red pen. He had ticked the New York office which i had put last year. This year I did not change it since he was fine last year.
But after sending the packet I kept thinking about the rejection and to be on safer side mailed them another application form with the correct Visa office and a covering note.

Wanted to share my experience with applicants from India regarding issuance of second IELTS TRF from IDP India.
I have been dealing with IDP from last two weeks. Provided them proof of my application to CIC (DHL Courier Receipt) and cited IELTS.org's provision of second TRF to CIC applicants. But all of this was of no avail. IDP people says that IDP IELTS doesn't have such rule.
I wanted to get the second TRF to apply under second NOC.
Has anybody got second TRF from IDP? Please share your experience.
Here is how I got my additional TRF of IELTS.

I had applied for IELTS exam through IDP education India and I do not know if the same would work for those taking the exam from British Council. I took a print out of the form on the IDP website for requesting additional TRF and filled in all the details. I ensured that the mailing address was mine and not any other agency. I visited the IDP office on St. Marks Rd - Bangalore, handed over the form to the receptionist, paid 1250 Rs and I was told that I would get the results in two weeks. I applied on 22nd May 2014 and I got the additional TRF on 5th June 2014.

Hope this is helpful for others trying to get an additional copy of IELTS!!!

Hi

I have few questions -

Q. I am in USA and I mentioned CPP-O ( now CPC - O) as my visa office, if i get an interview call do I have to go to Canada as CPP-O visa office in Canada ??

Q. I didn't submitted my PCC for India (though I submitted for USA), so at what point of time I have to present PCC (India) to CIC ??
1) Chances are that you will not be called for any interview to the visa office. The PER which I had received had these wordings
" If your application will be processed through China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan or the UK, you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance. In order to participate in this service you will require an invitation letter from the CIC mission which will be sent to you during the later stages of the immigration process if you are determined to be eligible for it."
2) Go to the local Indian embassy with your passport and address details, they will give you a police clearance certificate in 2 weeks.

It depends on Visa Officer, if he's satisfied with all those documents (First Emp.) he may consider that 3+ exp as well. So you an expect to get total 15 points. Still the final decision rests with the VO :)
What is your Self assessment (points) ?

Just a caution : in Form 3 .Q. 12 a). have you filled the Current Occupation for claiming NOC eligibility

Hello friends - Need a little advise onto how the points for work experience is likely to be calculated by the Immigration Officer.

My NOC is 2281. I have a total work experience of 7 years 10 months in the same NOC.

Current Employer - 1 year exp. Has provided letter of reference with job duties
Ex-Employer - 3 year exp. Has provided letter of reference with job duties
First Employer - 3 Year 10 Months exp. Has provided a letter with total experience and designation. Has not provided details pertaining to job duties in each designation due to company policy. Has specified this in an Email. I will be attaching a copy of this email with the other documents and I will outline the duties myself (no other options).

Question - Am I likely to receive points for Over 6 years work experience (15 points) or only over 4 years work experience (13 points) ? Anyone with similar experience ?

Thanks A_S for your reply. Appreciate it. Can you tell me that :

1.So you sent only the generic application form only and not any other form/documents? Or did you sent the entire application again?
2. Given that you already received PER? Do you think the new application form helped?
3. How many days or week difference (approximate) was between your application received date and the second time you sent the form?

Thanks for your time man.

1) Only Generic Application form with a covering letter.
2) I cannot quote what exactly might have happened at CIC, but at least I personally felt better after sending it. I wrote a covering letter apologizing for the same, with all my details.
3) 10-12 days after it was received by CIC.( including the courier time)

GoodLuck !!

nobody can guarantee that to you..no one other than CIC knows when the CAP will be filled. Last year CAP for 2174 was filled on 30th May when they started taking applications on 8th may..After that thousand files went to CIC and were returned..Surely those people must have applied again...just wait n see how many of those get accepted/rejected..based on that your fate will be decided..
till that time the best you can do is stay positive and pray..

Original question by myself:
While most are busy waiting for their CC/DD charged, there are some like us who are just beginning the process.

I will be applying for 4011, University Professors for which educational qualification is PhD. Therefore, I reckon the work experience that is to be shown must have been gained "after" the PhD (or I am wrong ?)

The checklist talks about work experience to be mentioned for the last 10 years. While I do have more experience "before" PhD, but I think that won't qualify as a valid 4011 experience, or will it ?

Please let me know if you are sure about this point. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply kollins, and sorry for delayed reply. I missed your reply in the deluge of messages here on the forum.

I don't know why I think that the experience must be a 'relevant' one, and for establishing relevance via-a-vis NOC 4011, the experience shall be gained after one is educationally qualified for this NOC, i.e. after finishing the PhD.

I would appreciate if you, or any other person could point me to some published information by CIC to clear that doubt that I have.

Thanks and Regards
Yes, professor, experience is relevant as long as it falls under skill level O, A or B of ANY NOCs and not necessarily it got to be within 50 eligible NOCs. See the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg72b

Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

You will receive points for the number of years of full-time paid work (or the equivalent in part-time paid work) you have obtained within the last ten years. Full-time means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week.

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application.

In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. Follow the Determining your NOC category instructions above to find the NOC 2011 category that matches your skilled work experience over the past ten years.

Friends,

Just i found that i missed to write my Name on Page 6 of 6 of Generic Application form on the box "CONSENT AND DECLARATION OF APPLICANT", pls suggest how critical is it:

I, (first name, last name)........................... on behalf of myself and all dependents included in this application, authorize citizenship...

However i've signed the form and properly dated as well.

Many missed it. It is not critical. :)

Bro nobody knows for sure, how a CIC processing officer would rate this omission on not signing the document.
I know it is a small mistake and not an expert on how cic works. However I would have sent another application form with a covering note explaining the same. At least it would reduce my anxiety level.
I had a minor error with my visa office as I had listed as New York. I did send out another application form with a note. I cannot say whether the visa officer corrected it himself or accepted the new form, but I did what I could have done.

Good Luck !!
