DUI is a criminal offence in India. PCC covers all offenses entirely.

Finally Finally Finally after so many tense moments (first time in the whole process) for me. Third line is updated today "Medical Results have been received". Honestly, It was becoming hard to concentrate on work in the absence of above immortal one. Many thanks to all my friends here, especially Manish Baissoya to all the moral support and +1 to him.

The key word there is CRIME.
DUI can be an administrative misconduct in some countries, but a crime elsewhere. It is all on your PCC.

PS. it can also be state/province-specific in federative countries

LOCAL PCC (for India) is enough to get rid of this small problems.
What CCSIS checks is the database of countries you have stayed for criminality/ financial frauds it also involves queries into intelligence sourced databases, and other government security databases, which might reveal activity or ties related to organized crime, terrorist organizations, suspect military history

Consultant informed that i got per last night below are my timelines:

NOC :2281
App Recvd :30th Oct
DD Encash :5th Jan
PER :30th Jan

Q1: Per status is same " In Process" and consultant provided only application and file number is it normal?

Hi Friends,

Please advice by seeing my details and query below :

1. I got PER for NOC 2173 on Nov 04 2014.
2. MR on Jan 10 2015
3. Attended medicals on Jan 22 2015
4. Send the PCC, RPRF, passport copy, medical completion docs on Jan 29 2015
5. The packet is delivered at delhi immigration office on Jan 30 2015 @ 10:10 am
6. In ECAS the third line is updated as
3. Medical results have been received.

What does this mean? Is it like an acknowledgement that they received our packet or how is it?

What will be 4th line update?

Please help me understand.

For what its worth, ECAS status doesn't update in time...
I've already gotten my passport with visa on it and my 4th line still hasn't showed up. My application is still 'In Process'.


If you've received e-mail requesting passport and RPRF don't worry about it. Send everything to your local VO and wait

So you are saying that the review officer is going to go by the PCC for all such offences if it's considered a criminal offence in one's country? No additional checks done by cic? I know for a fact that Indian PCC does not list DUI violations even if it is present for an applicant...

Finally with blessing of the Almighty Allah........I have received my PER today ..... ., that too 2 PER's.......
They say, " Uppar Wala Jab Bhi Deta Deta Chappar Phadke....." . It has been a very painful wait of almost 14 years . Was very young and a Bachelor at that time .All my friends and family who had applied with me at that time had passed through and settled in canada 8 yrs back . Always wondered Why not me ?, but never lost faith in myself..

Applied..waited ..failed.....Applied ..waited ..failed....Applied..waited ...failed...Applied..waited.. and Finally Passed.....

Thank You all for your wishes and specially the ones who prayed for me....

Well, it's case-specific. They might want to go in-depth and get in contact with local cops or just acknowledge what's written on the certificate.
